The Sims 2 had a soundtrack that included a number of unknown artists credited, the most notorious being Kitty Shack who had a song entitled Another World.     If you think that’s an accomplishment you need to hear the sound track for Nier Gestalt or Nier replicant (same game different regions). The artist made a whole album of some of the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard all with made up language. ‘Song of the ancients’ was completely made up yet when you listen you can almost hear words in there. It’s supposed to be a futuristic language that combines lots of languages. If you haven’t heard it I suggest you look it up.

    Am I the only who gets like a really weird uncanny feeling from the "Another World" song? Like I don't really get the same thing from any of the other songs in Simlish, something about that in particular just gives me this weird feeling of like almost deja vu? Almost like it's something I've before in a dream, or something like that. It's hard to explain.

    i know this video is old but im lmao.. pretty sure these are just young roleplayers.. ive recently discovered how invested some people are into sims lore and for how long. it'd make a lot of sense

    Gosh I miss the good old days of torturing my sims on Sims 2. Removing the ladder from the pool, building a little room with just a fireplace and a plant and then removing the door. Good times. 😂😂

    Some of these performers were obscure unkown to the public people from around the world. I was digging out some European pop singers that even in their home country they were unkown even tho they have high quality music videos and production on their songs. Most obviously lost in time by now but in general they were ''nobodies'' even back then.

    With few known people thrown into a mix especially with later DLC to spice up the roster.

    The irony being that most these Sims singers and musicians from back in a day (can apply to lots of other games too) no matter the genre, were session people or local bands that actually never had experience with the genre they sang or play out, some were not even into music as a career but more like a hobby or one two times deal.

    These are their common replies: ''It was a paid job quick and easy money, the studio producer said take it easy don't overthink it, treat it as a parody and just sing in ghiberish, so we did. We didn't even knew what game was for at the time nor the word simlish was ever even mentioned. We did it and moved on from it, it was another quick job that we did to survive, because big bills in a big city need to be paid fast.''

    Ofc some would state how they had a simlish language coach which for most part isn't true. They pumped out these the fastest they could and moved on, the game needed to be made. And the final result speaks for it self, most songs make no sense, musically so as liricly because if you even try to translate it you will get 5% nonsense while the 95% are words that don't even exist in simlish but were made up on the spot.

    The only ones that had a simlish coach was years later in TS3 era onwards but even then you will get nonsense translations, like someone wrote the lyircs while having a stroke. Even tho ironically most mainstream songs became just that anyway.

    I spoken to some and read all about it and lots of people couldn't care less for their involvement in sims since their music background is in completely different genre or their career are not even in music.

    Sims 2 Soundtrack went way harder than it had any right to. My roommates boyfriend did a simlish black metal song for them back then. The development of it seemed to be very "internet" in that they pulled scene popular folks.

    Most surreal experience. I’m a fan of Whang! That’s it. Kidding, forrreal, I’m a fan of this channel and watch often. Never did I anticipate hearing him talk about someone I know as fundamental to solving an internet mystery. But, alas, miss Carrie jo or CJ as she often is called incidentally was fundamental to the video and to my list of friends.
