First Recorded in 1989, This Sound Still Stumps Scientists | Tales From the Bottle
Over 30 years later, this audio recording still has no definitive explanation – but the leading theory is pretty sad.
“The 52-hertz whale, colloquially referred to as 52 Blue, is an individual whale of unidentified species that calls at the unusual frequency of 52 hertz in the north Pacific Ocean between Aleutian and Kodiak Islands to the California coast. The whale itself has never been sighted: it has only been heard via hydrophones, but its call has been detected since the late 1980s in a pattern that matches the migration of the blue whale and the fin whale. Those species call at 10 to 39 Hz and 20 Hz respectively. Described as the “world’s loneliest whale”, it appeared to be the only individual emitting a whale call at this frequency. However, recordings of a second 52-hertz whale, heard elsewhere at the same time, have been sporadically found since 2010.
52 Hz is roughly equivalent to the musical note G#1, which is the 12th lowest key on a standard 88-key piano keyboard, or the 4th finger position on the lowest string (E1) of a double bass.”

Does it bother anybody else? How very little we know about the ocean? We spent trillions of dollars trying to fly to Outer space and we know exactly about 75% of the planet we live on greater if you factor in volume.

Here’s the thing. In this amount of time following a distinct migratory pattern they would’ve accidentally run into another whale by now. I mean you’re talking 50 years. My question is how many whales of a similar call frequency yeah I know the guy said none but clearly we’re thinking blue whale how many whales disappeared without a trace over that time.?
When I sit in my tree stand during deer hunting season, I probably sound a little bit like a deer. But I’m not.
Something to think about. What if it’s hunting?

When they started talking about the low frequency in the distance difference of the ability to call between different types of whales and immediately made me think of elephants

The first sound at 52 Hz sounds exactly like what I hear sometimes in my house or at my workplace but only in the left ear. It caused me to go see an ENT doctor, but so far no treatments have stopped the weird sound. I guess I'll have an MRI scan to figure out if it's my ear/head or the sound is real.

Has anyone sent the same sound back out to tru and see if it will talk back… seems more like a mechanical becon. Especially sounding like a beep loop. But that long and no one found visual spotting it… decoded that its the same as the singal that came back from space…..
