Lucio Fulci’s The Beyond is one of my absolute favorite horror movies, but I hated it when I first saw it as 7 Doors of Death. Here’s a look at the complicated history of this movie, my personal journey with it and of course, all of the mayhem contained within.

This was when Lucio Fulci went "F*ck the profit, I want my name in the history books!" And I'd say he did it, because this is my Second All Time Favorite Horror movie. Roger Ebert can take his review and shove it next to the stick up his a**.

I picked up a copy of 7 Doors of Death at Best Buy in 2000 for $10 on the cover alone. It was some Tarantino edition unedited with just a different title card. This movie blew our minds i love this movie 🍿🍿👁️

I just got the Grindhouse release with 2 blu rays and the remastered soundtrack album. What a trip. I think I'll benefit from a second viewing. I do keep thinking about the ending. Wicked stuff.

Nah mate, I've seen it 3 times now I think and it's fucking garbage. Some cool special effects in it, don't me wrong but it's crap . I've heard some folks say that the Exorcist is funny to them and not in the least bit scary. That's how I feel about the Beyond.

This movie is wild especially the moment that explodes the head of the little girl. Gore splatters in screen in a beautiful arthouse style, That Dog Scene. Holy fuck! This is wild

I love this film, I'm a italian horror veteran since Blockbuster ended. This and Torso are Classics and Super Influential, And Fulci should have more recognition in vintage gore, blood splatters in screen in beautiful arthouse style, Feeling like this is the first Arthouse movie, nonsensical gore is awesome

Ackchyually, it's "The Book of Eibon." It's a grimoire written by Eibon the ancient sorcerer-poet (who traveled to Saturn through a magick portal a go go).
12:47 A spider's chelicerae don't work like that! That's more like how a scorpion's chelicerae work. Spears for spiders, but a scorpion's are more like pliers.
16:34 The ending to 'The Void' HAS to have had been an homage to that!
17:20 Lovecraft referenced the Book of Eibon in his mythos of demented do0m.

I work for a water company, and like a plumber, we visit customers at home, and you always ask what the problem is. It often takes a degree of interrogation to nail down the actual problem they have; not saying people are ill-informed or anything.
