I love the evolver, I can call myself proud owner of the poly evolver keyboard version, first synth I had and last one I‘ll sell
But two things, Dave smith releases synthesizer since 1977, not 2002 and second the evolver has 2 analog oscillators and 2 digital ones…

I can tell you right now, I will not part from my Evolver for less than the really big bucks. I have a modular and many semi-modular synths, with the Evolver being one of my few non-modular anything. It does pretty much anything my expensive Eurorack can, for a fraction of the price (effects excepting – but buy some pedals, kids!). Sure, I have heard people complain about the sound of the oscillators, which is fine and well but they don't seem to realize the entire audio path through the thing allows it to be used as a PEDAL. So, circumvent the oscillators entirely – feed this analog beast the best complex waveforms you can generate, it will eat it all, and spit out beauty.

I got the Pro 3 and returned it, after realizing it is little more than a repackaging of the Evolver that sounds nowhere near as good.

Took me a minute to realize why this looks so similar to the Adrenalinn3 pedal… The UI was designed by the same guy! And I'm pretty sure the sequencer functions in it came from this unit, too. They would make a great pair…

When u set different lengths to the 4 sequences and really use those 3 delay engines it starts to “Evolve”

It has 2 digital and 2 analog osc
And the digital “waveforms” can be replaced with your own

Just one question: Since I hear a lot of demos showing off the presets.
Maybe I overloooked the manual, but how do you start a initial preset…so you can start building from scratch?
(The manual is more of a explanation and not a step by step tutorial on how to do things)
