    If I have read mine and others’ long observations correctly, Iran never wanted the Bomb, per se, but more the ready state of assembling some on demand at need, a luxury that the United States took only a few years to attain using less accurate scientific understanding and less sophisticated materials handling methods way back in the 1940s. It’s a safe bet that Iran could cobble together a Little Boy of their own by now and since at least a decade ago.

    A rich draft dodger who falsely claimed he had bone spurs has possibly laid the groundwork for a draft not seen since the EARLY 1970s for the Vietnam War. WOE to those of you who have 14-18 yr old males in your family from now till 2028. To think that he actually ran on isolationist foreign policies to boot!!! The Middle East is way way worse than Asia and Korea and Vietnam because it heavily based on culture and religion NOT POLITICAL IDEOLOGY.

    Okay, yeah, if you don't know what happened, trumps big bullshit bill passed the senate. Okay, so now we're moving on from senators (you should still call those about other issues though.) Call your representatives, it might take a bit if hunting, but you can find their numbers.
    We are all we really have. Remember this. Call, call, call, call, even if it's scary, even if you have to pump yourself up before hand. Hell, I wrote a script. Call. Call. Call. If they want us dead then dolls let's go out swinging.

    One Youtube video, which I might recommend for those wanting insight into why the war in Iraq happened, is this one: "20 years on, should George W. Bush be on trial for the war in Iraq? | The Medhi Hasan Show". The video is about 29 minutes long. I felt it went over the things succinctly. I was a bit older than Leeja when 9/11 happened–I watched it on the news as it was happening–followed by the war. I remembered being confused why the U.S. went into Iraq despite the attacks being knowingly spearheaded by a Saudi (Osama bin Laden) and his rebel group, Al-Qaeda. That episode helped clarify why and how that bait and switch happened.

    I honestly dont blame you for making the assumption in the beginning; every move Trump has made this year has made my jaw drop. He's the definition of " hold my beer". Probably a lesson not to make assumptions like that tho (know I've had a few lessons myself lmao….)

    Calling Iran and Israel's war a "distraction" from Gaza while Iranians were dying and less than 2% of them had access to international internet during those 12 days, is SO crazy and dehumanizing.

    Be careful here. Remember this is an antisemitic person who conflates Israel with Judaism and that Jewish space lasers are a thing to start fires in the US as part of some big global Jewish conspiracy. And I think she is implying here that JFK was assassinated by Israel, and, by extension using her logic, "the Jews". Just sayin'. It is great she is against this war of Israeli aggression. But let's not miss this dogwhistle and nod to antisemites here.

    A very good book about US foreign policy specifically in the Middle East and Israel over the last 50 to 80 years is The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy by John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt.

    You say that: "(…) in 35y that has not come to fruition. If they were going to develop a bomb they would have in that time(…)" and then add that now, after the US attack they definitely have an incentive to make a nuke.

    This statement ignores two important things. One – Israel has a decades long history of sabotaging Iranian efforts (through missile strikes, virus attacks, assassinations, etc.). That's why Iran is only edging towards nuclear capabilities instead of having that nuke already. Two – Iran has always wanted to have a nuke, regardless of US involvement. They're not shy about it, just not in official capacity. They're following the same playbook as Russia or NK – sign whatever treaty they give you and then keep doing what you want regardless of what the treaty says.

    To put it in terms that hit closer to home – your quote above sounds to me like this: people have been screaming about the threat of fascism in the USA for decades, ever since the Business Plot of 1933 and there hasn't been a fascist takeover in over 90y – if the fascist were going to takeover the country they would have in that time.
    See how this statement ignores all the effort that people have been putting for almost a century to curb the growth of fascism in the USA?

    I follow your content because you put a lot of work into research. And it shows – you deliver solid, well thought out takes. I sincerely hope this is just an outlier.

    A person can learn a lot by observing not just what happens but also what DOESN'T happen. You know who doesn't get attacked? Not by ANYONE…. Well, for example, …Riyadh… Cairo. Fascinating how there is peace EVERYWHERE Israel's former enemies transformed and demonstrate a genuine interest in peace. Go figure.

    I don't understand why Synth playing original versions of Sonic. Just play Christian Whiteheads ports of 1,2 and CD and Sonic 3 A.I.R.
    They completely repace OG . They have widescreen, and all the bug fixes. Just don't play shitty Origins collection. I'm with Pariah695 on that matter. I love old games but i preffer more convinient ways to play them.

    One recommendation from one of my favorite political science professors from his like general middle east politics course was Kim Armstrong's book "Islam." I think it is the best book for Americans, especially if you were raised in conservative Christian ideology, to understand without political bias and swing the history of Islam and how many of the things the west mocks about the middle east/Islam are rooted in actions 1300 years ago.

    19:43 if you’re into podcasts or struggle reading nonfiction, Blowback covers US involvement in Iraq (season 1) and Afghanistan (season 4), as well as Cuba, Korea, and Cambodia. It doesn’t shy away from a leftist bias and it’s really thoroughly researched with sources on the podcast’s website. Couldn’t recommend more highly.
