It’s fascinating the confidence/delusion chronically online Kbots talk about the “downfall of Drake” with… when Drake is currently (and always has been) outperforming Kendra in literally every metric that isn’t managed by white institutions that Drake has publicly denigrated and that no one actually cares about (like the Grammys). This man lives in your heads rent free 💀

Boasting in poetry is not just an African tradition; many white European and Asian cultures have a history of similar art forms.
Not that that information adds anything to this and I know this video is about hip-hop which has its roots in African culture . . . I'm jus sayin . . .

It’s amazing how Drake is such a loser that stupid alpha/beta ideology shit is somehow the only way to describe his behavior
oh also i wish you got to use that footage of adin ross literally sniffing Andrew Tate’s chair

The only thing Drake is guilty of is being on top for so long then being so vehemently hated. Must have been a shock to his system.

When K.Dot said, "What is it, the braids? I hurt your feelings, you won't work with me no more? Okay!", Drake felt so embarrassed and insecure that he chopped down his hair.

9:40 I literally had this EXACT same conclusion after listening to his music play on the radio. It’s such beta male music – but not in the weird “alpha male” way, you know what I mean.

September 5, 2026 at 9:34 pm
as a girl I took one of those quizzes and it said that I was a beta, that’s prbly why i grew up liking drake 🤦🏾♀️, but tbh I don’t listen to a lot rap, drakes just always been main stream and I listen to main stream music snd pop for the most part so that’s prbly why 😂

Drake thinks being creative is "taking inspiration" from other artists with more talent… He can come up with his own spin on an original idea, but has no original ideas of his own. It's enough to be good (even damn good) but it's not enough to be the best.

How did I miss this video!! I was a Drake fan turned hater-ish way earlier in the 2011-2013 era, there’s no word to describe how uplifted I feel when 2024 happened and it was no longer controversial to dislike Drake’s music.
English is my second language, and I started learning English at 16 when I moved to the US. I got exposed to Em and that was literally how I learned English and American culture/ pop Culture. I would listen to Em’s songs, write down what I heard, compared to official lyrics then learned about all the references, double-triple entendres, then it opened the door for me to learn more about hiphop and Black culture when I discovered some of the best lyricists of all time like Pac, Nas, Immortal Technique, Rakim, Outkast era Andre 3k, etc. So I’m blessed that I had these artists as my starter pack, which allowed me to seek for specific standards in music (of all genres not just hiphop)
When Drake became so big in the early 2010s and I heard some of his songs and I did enjoy a few tracks on Thank Me Later, but I liked his song in the club, not something I actively choose to listen to at home or while driving or need spiritual food. Especially around this time, Cole started popping up too and Kendrick came out w Section 80. However Drake’s 2011 Take Care album came out and it turned me a real fan, the buy-ticket-to-his-concert kind of fan. I thought that wow his music wasn’t as “surface-level” as I thought and there were many songs that have so much depth, I could still recite a lot of it. I then viewed drake as a different person, a different artist and I loved the side that he showed on Take Care, plus I liked some of his features too. Then in 2012 I started seeing rumors bout that album, and in 2013 The Weeknd kinda confirmed it. I ran straight to The Weeknd discography and listened to his pen, and I recognized the artist that I fell in love with in Take Care! I went on to become Weeknds fan, and just disregarded Drake completely. Also, Maad city came out in between and it was a wrap for me, Drake wasn’t even comparable; the only Drakes songs after take care I listened to was Poetic Justice and Forever.
It was a nightmare witnessing Drake’s rise and seeing him being named as everyone’s GOAT, but I never could freely express my disdain for him because Drake HELPED a lot with giving hiphop mainstream exposures, like I would have never known of The Weeknd if it wasn’t for Drake, and I feel there are a lot of other people who would feel the same ways with many features that he brought out. And as an Asian immigrant, who at the time haven’t even mastered the English language, I didn’t want to speak on another culture that I’m not a part of. But it PAINED me to hear people compare Drake and Kendrick “ohhh which one is better “ I was like Are you SERIOUS?!
Then I unfortunately learned about Nipsey too late after moving to Cali, only learned about him 2 years before his passing RIP. And even though his music wasn’t GOAT imo, but I got to learn about his works, his legacies, how much he invested in his community and how much he wants to uplift Black youths, I started noticing that rappers in my top 10 all have/had that in common, then I realized that in order for them to have such complex poetry In their music, it would take greatness, it would take someone who loves not just hiphop but the culture where it was born, it would take someone who understand struggle, injustice and systemic oppression to continuously pay homage and giving back to the community and wanting to bring more people out of the hood, it would take wisdom, self-assurance, intelligence, intentions, maturity, compassion and humility for someone to be able to write the ways these rappers write/ wrote. And after Nipsey’s death, as I learned more and more about his legacy, then it hit me that Drake is not any of those things, it finally clicked for me why I felt so much disdain for him. Then I thought he called himself out on that line about how Kendrick raps like he’s tryna save the slaves ( the way that it was structured, he drew a CLEAR line that isolated him from Black Americans and their painful history; it literally sounded like what a white comedian would say as a punchline directed at black people as an “outsider”) Not like us pieced it up together perfectly for me.
And this video right here made me feel so vindicated. Thank you.

Confused as to how being a fan of someone makes you a beta . I might be missing something. Drake admitting he looked up to dudes and openly voicing that makes him beta ?
