This week I wanted to share my thoughts on the last couple weeks in L.A. depending on if you watch CNN, NBC, MSNBC, Fox or ABC news you are getting very different reports about what is happening. Right now the story is about I.C.E. and if the opposition to their operations have been riots or peaceful protests. The full weight of the argument always ends up resting on the people to be non violent but never the officials they are opposing. Someone even defending themselves at a protest can get the entire narrative changed to a violent event. But should thousands of people who don’t know each other all be held to a standard of one when abuses by officials are handled on a case by case basis?

    I live in LA and people have been getting incredibly creative with how to mess with ICE in the most harmless yet infuriating ways possible. It started with glitterbombing any known ICE agent so that they'd be easily identifiable for anyone who might not want to be around them. ICE got upset about this and filed several formal complaints because they felt "harassed" (lmao). Most recently many of us white women have been driving around with a Mexican flag on our cars purely so we'll get profiled and pulled over for illegitimate reasons. We're really doing anything that we can to waste their time and resources because the longer they have to deal with us being annoying the less time and energy they'll have to illegally kidnap more people. In the beginning they tried to keep people from protesting by telling everyone to stay inside because of the smog/air quality- which is CRAZY because that's just a normal day for DTLA, it's not known for fresh air so the emergency alert felt like a desperate excuse that someone who doesn't live here came up with. The whole thing is so dumb, nobody wants this and I really hope that it ends soon because I hate absolutely everything about it.

    16:05 I’ve had a recurring nightmare that I was in the backseat of a car and suddenly realized no one was driving for most of my adult life. This would’ve scared the absolute shit out of me 😫😭

    This man is the only person I have ever seen live and I am 34. I am suffering a physical disability and am dealing with some sadness and this has got me laughing so hard!!!! I just discovered all these posted full sets and I love it

    I’m in my 70s, so I’m not cognizant of many young comedians, but I discovered this young man and he’s awesome intelligent, articulate, totally gets the issues we all deal with. Thank you Josh Johnson. ❤

    The issue with these geriatrics is that by the time the car keys are taken away they've been in declining capacity for a decade or more. Going through this with a relative who really should have stopped driving when he was this guy's age.

    Josh really underestimates the irrationality of MAGA… Denying very clear reality is part of their modus operandi and not even reporters on the field can be enough to someone who lives and breathes conspiracy theories.

    T calling up all these military people, when nothing is going on, disrupts so many people 's lives and paychecks. And T is still sleeping in his fluffy bed while these poor military people are on floors. How disgraceful and embarrassing.

    They did the same to Portland. Fox News had my family in the South terrified for me, wondering if I needed to take shelter with them from the death and chaos. Meanwhile, it was literally just one city block of violence and half a city of rainbow unicorns, drag queens, and a marching band wearing giant bananas.
