Habeas Corpus Has Already Been Suspended For Some

While Stephen Miller announces that the Trump administration is “looking into it” and Kristi Noem can’t seem to define it, we are all left to watch as the writ is blatantly eroded, despite judicial rulings and precedent.

Ya'll need to be careful. This is similar to what South Korea recently went through. The guy ended up declaring martial law; which if not for the preventative measures from our past dictatorships would've ended up being the end of democracy in Korea. They had plans to involve North Korea as well as set out instructions on kidnapping and executing multiple figures from the opposing party, media, and civilians.
The thing is, you don't have preventative measures like SK. In SK, if a martial law deemed unjustfully declared by the National Assembly, it can be lifted via a vote. They tried to prevent the members of the National Assembly from voting by sending hundreds of special force soldiers to the National Assembly. If this happened in SK, imagine what would happen in the US if this situation escaltes. You need to act now because what we were able to do is not an option for the US.

Yes, and (sorry if you mentioned it!) without due process, even a citizen can end up being sent off to a foreign prison. The administration could claim that the citizen isn't one, and without a hearing, how would they have the opportunity to prove their citizenship in the first place?

I legit thought everyone who graduated HS knows what habeas corpus is (and how it was famously suspended during the Civil War). I thought Republicans were just arguing in bad faith like they always do. Everyday they surprise me with their stupidity.

A pedophile can be caught on video but they're still given a trial, they have an opportunity to defend themselves, even if the evidence is obvious. With these people the "evidence" is being brown.

Habeas Corpus has not been suspended for a single U.S. citizen. Stop gaslighting the public.
The "for some" you are referring to came here illegally. That means they broke the law. HELLO!
They are not citizens. They are not entitled to the protections U.S. citizens receive. Leeeja is so
shallow minded, she can't grasp this concept. Either this or she is knowingly lying on her channel.

Hate to say this but they are going to cite the Laken Riley act as justification for the detention of immigrants. Right? The bill text suggests it.

Oh y'all just getting hip to the fact this government can violate rights of some people but not others the others being their own Western European able to melt into their White Melting pot 🙂‍↔️

0:15 Noem is hilariously ignorant and inept, and is so wildly unqualified for her post. She might be good at turning her family farm into a hunting lodge and getting grotesque plastic surgeries, but she ain’t good at knowing things.

Actually the threat to Habeas Corpus dates back to 2006 under George W Bush in regards to Iraq War and Gitmo. Even Obama tried to test the waters with the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act on New Years Eve 2011. Thankfully Habeas Corpus survived until possibly now.

Habeus corpus is not suspended for "some of us". Because that's not a thing. If they can ignore the rule of law for people you don't like, they can just as easily ignore the rule of law for you. There is no middle ground, there's only the question of how long before they decide you're next.
