    There's nothing to be ashamed of when you lose, this has been an incredible run from the USMNT team and they should go out with their chin up. What stinks is that this historic run will forever be tainted by the actions of an orange man who couldn't enjoy the event without making it about himself.
    Cheers from Belgium my american friends, keep being proud of your team, I hope to see you in 4 years and maybe we can play a rematch without politics being involved 🇧🇪❤🇺🇸

    What I don't get: After Donald Trump and Mr. FIFA meddling with the decision of the referees, why did the trainer of the team and Balogun NOT take the right decision and play the next game without Balogun?

    It was a clear foul (not playing the ball, hitting the other player with the bottom of the shoe (yes, those studs are a risk for humans), being (politely phrased) "overambitious"). The team could have shown sportsmanship by not letting Balogun play in the next game. They did let him play. That is telling.

    The fact is that the US did well but they're not good enough to go further and before you beat the team up look at who already went out.
    Now Trump…….that's another matter. The man is toxic

    He is a disgrace not only to the Americans, but to soccer as a whole. Just imagine a US president has the power to overturn the referee’s decision : what a joke ! ! ! First his vote was stolen by Biden, n now this. Why not just hand over the World Cup directly to the US team. The FIFA president should be fired immediately without a ‘ show cause letter. 😂😂😂😂

    France here. This disastrous decision put psychological pressure on the players, who fully understood that they weren’t just facing Belgium on the field, but also an international public already hostile to the Trump administration. It was obvious that they fell well short of what they had shown in previous matches.
    See you in 2030 to celebrate the centennial of their first World Cup appearance, hoping they’ll at least do as well (reaching the semifinals)… or even better.

    I'm African American College educated Female; Like many REAL PATRIOTS and Military Families, I'm Disgusted that the racist insurrectionist, who attempted a coup on January 6, 2021, then he pardons the violent maga traitors who Smeared feces on the walls of the Capitol…which was (subsequently) cleaned up by Black and Brown Federal Sanitation staff; trump is ignorant, corrupt, a 5x draft dodging grifter, in office illegally earning Billions $$$ for himself, his sons, daughter, in-laws, family and billionaire donors on the backs of U.S. taxpayers. WHERE ARE THE FUNDS ALLOCATED IN 2016 BY CONGRESS, FOR OUR 250TH JULY 4TH Celebration WHICH DID NOT HAPPEN! I was a teenager at the 1976 Bicentennial Celebrations, it was a beautiful sea of Diversity at the Sailing of International Ships up the Hudson River. Just like at Knicks Finals, the only game the Knicks loss was the game trump attended at MSG, where he drooled and slept. When trump conspired with his lapdog FIFA head, Infantino [ who has an apartment in trump's Midtown Bldg near Tiffany's, Google it . ] I could not watch the games because imo, trump's finger on the scale, his interference in FIFA procedures is a NATIONAL DISGRACE ! I am happy for Belgium. Everything that trump touches DIES.

    Hello Harry: I agree that the Trump Curse is real. It is so demonically strong that the Trump Curse even acts by proxy. Remember what happened to His Holiness, Pope Francis, after a visit from Vance? God help us all, Krzysztof Boris.
