I think people forget a lot that Bret has diabetes. I am surprised he has made it to his age without any major issues. I've know a lot of people in my life that had diabetes. Some did everything the doctor's told them from eating a strict menu and exercising constantly, and some lived like they wanted, one being my lifelong best friend. All have passed away now, and all before they hit 50. Diabetes is tough on your kidney's, as well as the heart. Bret has really done well all things considered with his diabetes.

You know, I was thinking about something today. The organizers should figure out a way to livestream that 3-day festival. Just put up a 4K cam from the ceiling, center stage, and get someone to run it on a laptop. Add it to the website. People could buy passes like the fest, 3-day or whatever, and they could also break down the bands individually so ppl could click on that if they wanted. It would bring in more money. I’m sure some would pay like $200 for the whole thing. Per band could be like $20 or $30. I mean it’s 2026. lol I don’t think that would mess with the attendance actually going.

Personal opinion: It''s time for Bret to retire. The guy's a 63 year old diabetic with increasing health issues. I sympathize greatly. My wife is a Type 1 and I see daily the things she struggles with. It can be heartbreaking. I honestly can't imagine how he's managed to go as long as he has, living the 80's Party life, and crisscrossing the world in a tour bus or on planes, in and out of hotels and likely eating irregularly, all while working his ads off onstage. That shit is TOUGH! If you don't have diabetes, or live with anyone who does…trust me…it really is a miracle this guy has had the life he has and is still alive. It can be a terrible disease to manage under the best of circumstances, let alone living the hardscrabble life of a touring musician.

So yeah…IMO he should call it a day. According to Celebrity Net Worth he's sitting on roughly $20 mill. Money is no issue. He's clearly not interested in Poison any more. The Bret Michaels Band is fun for him I'm sure, but it's not like he's doing it because he's strapped for cash. If Bret was standing in front of me now, as a fan Id tell him straight up – Stop, dude. Enjoy the fruits of your labours. Savour time with your loved ones. Write a fucking book. Hell! Come do a 3 hour interview with Anthony! It would be great! Watch the Sun come up from a comfortable chair on your back porch with a hot cup of coffee in your hand and smile, knowing you've literally done it all. Bottom line though…get off the road. Look after yourself. Know when it's time to hang it up gracefully and say 'Enough is enough.' Dying onstage or in a hotel room or a tour bus won't be 'Epic'. It won't be 'Cool'. It'll just be sad and you deserve better.

I’ve had kidney stones…..they’re shit! When they start moving south….and get stuck….man, as my doctor said (a female, before you say anything! ) “…they’re worse than giving birth…”. Get yourself well, Brett. Guru & Patrick & Stevie……you guys ROCK! 😎

You guys have 2 out of 2 major trips where you don't know how to drive to the right place. Maybe do some better planning next time BEFORE you even leave your house! 😂😂😂

Its unfortunate that Crazy Lixx, Bad Marriage and Cruel Intentions are the least known among the older bands. They are all capable of putting on a high energetic kick ass show if they would headline.
