You nailed it, Anthony…Ace was the KISS member that everyone could relate to. I remember one Halloween when my mom bought the KISS Halloween make-up kit. She painted my face to be the Spaceman for 3 or 4 years in a row because Ace was my hero. That never changed throughout my life. Loved all of his solo stuff as well. Kiss is one of my favorite bands and Ace was my favorite member. Ace was my guitar hero right next to Eddie Van Halen. Eddie was technically better, but Ace just had a unique style. He was definitely the one I could relate to the most in Kiss. I also really enjoyed his work with Frehley’s Comet and his solo releases. Man this really sucks.

My very first concert in 1977. Huge powerful. Energetic guitar solos. Little did I know I would spend the next 8 years going to every concert in the Portland Oregon Seattle area. Kiss got huge when I first moved to Portland. Beth was all over radio. In Cali we listened on 8 track abey road stones through the past darkly. But up here things changed. Kiss live Boston zz top. I adjusted. After all kiss was the band that started me going to everything or almost everything. When I was 21 I got down being a huge Stones man a joint and exile main street no longer made me happy. I searched for Truth. The only thing that made sense was the Bible. We have sinned come short of the Glory of God. That world was marred because of sin. By One man sin entered the world and death by Sin. When Adam Sinned death past upon All Men. God did not create world of Sin decease war murder rape perversion. Satan decieved eve sin and death injected into the human race. Now we have a world of huge problems. They get worse every year.in God's program sin is running it's course. The good news is even thou I and I have sinned against God. the Lord Jesus came down here 2025 years ago in human flesh miraculously conconcieved to die for Sinners. Truly God truly Man it's a faithful saying worthy of all acceptation Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. If you want God's mercy and not His justice u must put your confidence in Christ. Acknowledge your lie your drunkenness your sexual imorality your idotry is against God. When u see how awful your sin is me to. And u place your trust in the Lord jesus God will forgive u.

I met Ace 4 times, he signed my arm, I got it engraved. He wished my happy birthday on the telephone one time. KISS was my life when I was as young as 3 years old my Mom said I was infatuated by them. I dressed up as Gene and Paul and Ace for Halloween on many occasions. KISS was such a huge part of my life that most of my greatest family memories (which are also all deceased) had KISS in some way directly tied to almost every memory of my family in my childhood and teen years. I have shed so many tears, yet they keep flowing. My heroes, My life, My memories. The seed planted in my life for all of that S**T was that my Dad was murdered when I was 5, I would investigate the whole thing starting at age 20, and what I uncovered was nothing short of mind-blowing. I'm writing a screenplay about it all. When I was 12, my brother and his friend were listening to "Destroyer"…a switch was flipped in my heart and I never looked back –it inspired me to play guitar, ELECTRIC GUITAR. Ace was the reason. Thanks to another big unfluence, the one that followed Ace, good old Eduardo, I built my first guitar in 1983. While, like many others I used to dream of Les Pauls, Marshalls, etc. Now I've had all that…but my main guitar is still that one I made. Who are we gonna lose next, is what I wonder.
I never liked KISS as a band, but I always liked Ace… how could you not? Legendary. Sad day for anyone that loves rock and especially for those who loved KISS… and that was a lot of fuckin' people. RIP Spaceman.
