It’s probably also related to the fact that the Onyx franchise/intellectual property is charming and people enjoy it. But yeah, getting a comic book probably helps as well.
Here to reiterate the variant / foil cover idea. Pretty big thing in the comics trade. T-shirts and posters of the covers, or unique artwork for the merch done by the comic artists.
A set of cards or even trading cards. Every time you start a new Kickstarter you create more trading cards that come with the tier. A certain sized package for each tier.
Adding stretch goals and new tier rewards sounds great, but what would that additional money raised be used for? More issues? Add it to the pot for an eventual film sequel?
I would up my pledge a bit for a paperback collection of all the issues. Much prefer a sturdy book to individual comics, but can't really afford the hardcover.
I'd love to see you bring back all the Onyx movie items I missed out on, as I only discovered the film long after the campaign was over, and even the stuff you sold online was gone.
How about for an ADD-ON option make avalible to add-on a custom (Devil in a Box) holder that opens up and fits the entire hard copy set of the books. It could be made with really high quality raised textures to make it EPIC.
I would LOVE to see you make avalable and sell Action figures!!! You could make a whole set of action figures based on all of the charicters in the Movie. I would buy them all.
What if you included some type of cards with each comic? Like character cards, or something like that, buy a comic, collect the cards..Or a coin or something like that? Idk how feasible a coin would be, but it seems like that would be cool. 😎
I know they are probably mostly, if not all, gone. But the figurines and merch were my favorite rewards. Im slowly building a collection of Onyx shwag.
stretch goal to get a physical copy of the film (possibly signed)? I found out late about the film and they are sold out on the website, would love to get a physical copy. or another chance to buy any other books and comics previously released. a one shot D&D style campaign would be cool too.
