Why We’re Fated To Feel Lost – The Philosophy Of Albert Camus
Our inability to find ultimate meaning to human life can often make everything seem pointless and absurd. For 20th century writer, Albert Camus, everything likely is, but perhaps that’s a good thing.

To understand the experiencer it is needed to understand the experienced eventually leading to the understanding of the illogical effort in defining the self in stupid ways.

I once was called "unsufferably" stoic. I took it as the compliment of my lifetime.

What if there is only one person that exists in the entire universe and what if that person is you? And therefore, what if every person and thing that you have ever experienced is just part of your imagination?

Sisyphus was not happy unless if he was a masochist and I'm not one so the possibility of finding purpose in this life is null

The fact that there is no god is truly liberating.

I've often felt lost in life and that it was meaningless, but that led me to explore many things that other people may not think of like, extensive travel, writing, art. All of these things enriched my life and felt meaningful to me even if the meaningfulness is only in my own mind and isn't in any way an objective reality. Each one of us should find our own purpose and what makes us happy. That's meaningful in and of itself.

In a family full of educated existentialists with three recent suicides, my advice is to not take yourself too seriously.

Near death experiences are being observed and studied – and one common theme is that our souls signed some sort of contract to basically come down here and get our asses kicked/learn hard lessons/sort of make the world better (even though that third part doesn't add up – we're a bunch of assholes). But even if that's true even that itself is absurd. If god or source is a real thing it is stupid to me that we should be born into this bullshit in order to evolve. A truly benevolent fuck wad of a god would let us have that without this idiocracy where we abuse animals and murder in the name of

I'll tell ya what the true absurdity is….money. and why I have to slave away my life to make the tiniest bit, live in a shithole apartment in a shithile town in a shithole state with shithole politics surrounded by shitheads who have absolutely no regard or compassion for other people. Struggling, struggling, struggling, gone. Goodbye

I found Stoic philosophy has left me mentally tranquil and in no need of meaning other than accepting what is. Life is a festival and your only invited for a while so be a happy observer rather than a frantic meaning seeker.

Is "why did the chicken cross the road" another form of "what is the meaning of life"?

When one comes to terms that he/she doesn’t matter and nothing ever will. Then one is free to find meaning and joy in the absurdity. Nihilism saved my life after losing both my older brothers I was broken but through the works of the fathers of nihilism I was able to regain control and go on to life a fulfilling life
