With the group heading on an indefinite hiatus, now is a great time to look at the moments that exemplified the “boy band” in Brockhampton, the moments they went against that descriptor completely and why Brockhampton broke up.

What happened to paneer pisses me off. Like he was self admittedly shitty, but the fact that someone can come out and lie and ruin a dude pisses me off. Nobody deserves that

The amount of cope that was wishing Puppy had come out was unbearable in the fan community. Then Kevin finally dropped it and turned out, most of the tracks already had come out. The musical trajectory of BH was going to happen with or without the Ameer issues

It's pretty ridiculous to me that Kevin still claims they kicked Ameer out of the group.
In their documentary "Longest Summer in America" they talk about how after Ameer's past of sexual assault came to light they left him out of a large stage show to try and bury the topic. Ameer didn't know about this and was so pissed off that he left.
Ameer corroborates this in his Sway in the Morning interview. He states that he left of his own accord and eventually checked himself into an in-patient facility. He also notes that he, Kevin and Jon Nunes never ceased communication, despite Kevin claiming so publicly plenty of times.

The reason BROCKHAMPTON broke up was because Kevin and many others continued to associate with problematic individuals even after their issues came to light such as Shia LaBeouf, Ameer Vann and Ansel Elgort. There are also many other allegations against members of the group that had not been addressed in an attempt to bury the allegations, like they tried to do with Ameer's allegations before he left and forced the group to acknowledge them publicly.

I was a huge BH fan for years and sadly there were just too many issues that divided the members of the group (like how Dom's friend was set-up to be robbed by Ameer).

Clear as day IMO kicking Ameer out ruined BH. It was the “right” thing but obviously it caused more controversy and the group was way worse without him. It’s ultimately a tale of “good guys don’t always win”. And not only that, there are tons of sexual predators in the industry today. Look at Chris Brown. Everyone hates him, but no one cares when certain songs come on. BH shot themselves in the foot, and I thought that back in 2018 and I still think that today.

I have no reason to believe JOBA isn't a good guy, but I will stand by completely disagreeing with how he spoke about, rapped about, and handled the death of his father. It has always rubbed me the wrong way and if I was a member of his immediate or extended family I would be ashamed of him and for him. I have no idea what trauma led him to the point of trying to make his father's suicide about him in any way, but any time this point is even mentioned in public spaces, the rabid fanbase will eat you alive because they care about JOBA.
