One of the most enjoyable and valuable things we can do in life is reflect. Reflect on the moments that have past and consider them through a detached state of mind so we can appreciate what we have experienced, for good and for bad, free from worry or concern.

Nostalgia is a beautiful emotion; it's pure and a positive feeling. Nostalgia is something we all feel once in our lifetime… It's something that makes us sad, but also very, very happy. That said, Nostalgia can be used for the wrong things. What I mean by that is that Nostalgia is perfect and pure, but how the person who gets it can use it in a way that will make them depressed all the time and want to cling to the past. This isn't caused by nostalgia itself, but by the person who gets it, because of how they view it, or how they feel about it, or something. If someone obsesses over the past to escape life, that’s a misuse, not nostalgia itself. If someone uses it to remember, reflect, or create, it’s life-affirming and inspiring. Nostalgia is pure, but it's how you handle it that makes you feel depressed. Nostalgia itself isn't toxic. So don't blame Nostalgia when you are depressed by it, find a way to try to make it joyful, familiar, having a bittersweetness….and sad…not the depressing kind but just sad. Thank you for listening, and I hope you all enjoy reading this and agree.

So true. Neostalgia is bonding with new experiences, I suppose. Metastalgia is longing for heaven and being with Christ, loved ones and other redeemed.

Yo fr!!! At 37 It's the most depressing addiction 😔. I'll occasionally watch things like shorts of old abandoned businesses I grew up knowing so well and now they don't exist and it hurts

I remember being around my two best friends in 98/99/2000, playing Mario Party, Pokemon, Heroes of might and magic, and more. Amanda and Christopher moved away that summer of 2000, though. That part of my life was the best thing I've ever felt – which I knew in the moment. I would give anything to go back and experience the wonder, awe, and complete feeling of love that transcends time and space. Even if it was only for a few years, I want to relive that feeling and cherish the moments of pure light. I don't even know if they understand how formative those experiences were for me, but even if they didn't – it doesn't matter because I feel so lucky to have gone through them. I will love these two people and their family until the day I die and no one can take those memories from me.

Why nostalgic marketing works and how it is a skill to manage nostalgic marketing in day-to-day life.

I am going through a stressful situation now and I really appreciate the comment at the end of the video that this may bring back nostalgia when I look back in the future so still treasure this moment don't stress out. Make the best of this moment and don't focus on the problems !

I think the important thing to remember about nostalgia is that we reminisce on things being better than they actually were. Your life isn’t perfect today, but it also wasn’t when you were a kid. Sometimes I think about how great life was when I was 12 y/o, but then I remember that’s also when my parents split up, so there’s always good times and bad times. Also, in the future you’ll look back at the age you are now and feel nostalgic about it, so make the most of the present day as much as you can because these will be your memories of tomorrow.

Nostalgia makes me sad, worried about what's next and how it's been before, it makes me stressed because back at the moment it was … …fearless , there was nothing to worry about, but now when it's all history I don't know what's next. After all yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery and today is a gift

When I go to the gym together with my dad, he always says, “these are the times” and I’m glad they still are. Gotta appreciate them while they are still here.

I’ve just cried so much that I forgot about covid, high school and all the stress.
I wish I could go back when our family used to be complete with all our cousins and grandparents because I feel like everything is going too fast since they’re gone….

I don't think I just simply regret not having enough experiences.
I regret not making enough good friends to share them with.

For me my nostalgia usually triggers when I hear a song I remember that brings me back to the past for instance meeting friends that I used to know but are now gone missing in action or seeing a movie or seeing something I recognize that makes me have plenty of flashbacks playing in my head

i never really had nostalgia, only regret. i'm starting to appreciate that i need to stop doing that and focus more on each day i'm living, than each day i lived
