Waaswaaganing Indian Bowl Living Arts and Culture Center.

The Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians Tribal Council, Tribal Elders, Tribal Members, Native artists and non-Native residents of the community are united in their vision for a space to proudly present and represent the unique and rich Woodland Indian Arts and Culture of Lac du Flambeau.
There is an urgent need for the restoration and renovation of the historic Indian Bowl. In addition, there is a need to integrate two existing arts and cultural institutions – the George W. Brown Jr. Ojibwe Art and Cultural Museum and the Woodland Indian Art Center – to create a unified Lac du Flambeau multicultural Native arts center.
The Waaswaaganing Indian Bowl Living Arts and Culture Center will leverage the cultural and artistic assets of the community for increased economic development, increased cultural tourism to the Northwoods region, the retention and creation of jobs, and the preservation of cultural assets for future generations.
A new vision for the Waaswaaganing Indian Bowl Living Arts and Culture Center is materializing. We’ve come a long way – yet there is still much work we will do together to see this vision realized. To date, we have raised more than $1 million. Our goal is $3.6 million. Your support this evening, and into the future, will make this vision a reality.
