Hey everybody! I hope you like this video on the music of Guardians of the Galaxy. The Awesome Mix Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 are honestly some of my favorite albums ever. I love these movies and these soundtracks are the best.

I think I'm right but I can't stand any of those songs I find em horrible like shit.
    Serious question , why ?
I' m sure I' m right, and have no idea how someone can say they're good.
It sounds like vomit to me.

So funny reading how all you young people heard these songs for the first time on Guardians 1 & 2. LOL Those songs & other greats like them were the soundtrack of my childhood, pups. 🙂

I love your channel and watch pretty much every upload. I was showing this video to my brother and he said that the narration lacked personality. I just wanted to share a person's impression to your video who isn't aware of you. Maybe it could be helpful.

Please do a video on the consistent use of Ludwig's Killmonger track in The Black Panther. I feel it really reflects the overall aesthetic of the character and it feels so a part of the story

The part about parents asking "how do you know …" is so freaking true. I played I'm Not In Love by 10cc while on a drive with my dad and he was like: "How in GOD'S name do you know who 10cc are?"

    Great video Alfo <3

I remember when I was dumped by my first girlfriend a couple of years ago. We used to sing a lot of modern pop songs by twenty one pilots and Ed Sheeren together back then and I couldn't listen to those again without getting sad. So I threw out my music collection and started again, and these Awesome Mixes were the only thing I listened to and built a new music libary based on those, listening to 70's music and slowly building up to only recently when I've started listening to more modern Indie artists. Those mixes taught me never to take any genre or era for granted and to have my own opinions and made me the wannabe music nerd I am today.

You should check out the Rad Mix for the TellTale series – only nine songs long but still stands up to these mixes very well. Also the Cosmic Mix, but that isn't as good and was for the kids animated series so comes off as a sort of babies first awesome mix tape using more obvious song choices.

I remember watching the first guardians movie on release day with my mum. Days after we bought the soundtrack and we loved it so much we kept it in the car on repeat for 8 months without changing the CD because we just loved the playlist so much. I really connect a lot of these songs with my mother now

i saw guardians the 2nd day it came out on a whim because i was invited (i didnt even know it was a marvel movie until the movie started) and i'm so glad i went. not only did the lighthearted and touching, yet very funny and action filled keep me entertained and ended up rewatching the first one dozens of times, the soundtrack oh my god do i replay it so much. it came out during a time where i deep diving in 60s/70s music and this was more of a push. it was also a great way to make my parents watch the first and second with me because i told them "if anything, you'll enjoy the soundtrack" the 2nd movie was incredible, and i recommend to you to watch lindsay ellis' video if you're interested in more of a deep dive into the plot of gotg2. i can't wait to see what awesome mix vol. 3 looks like!

The soundtrack feels so natural and it meshes so well with the characters and plot, whereas some of the other marvel movies that used period music (Captain marvel) feel so incredibly forced at times.
