If the two of you had a baby, I would be that neurotic child. Esp. towards the end where you are talking about how everyone has let you down. I sadly related to so much of this episode.

Vegetarians are more prone to depression because they have a wider awareness of the suffering of innocent beings in the world. It is more about being in touch with reality than it is about the diet.

I understand her contentment with life. I am much older than her, but quite a few years ago I knew I had done everything I wanted/needed to do. Now it is all cake. I like cake – so I am in no hurry to die, but no fear of it. 😎

It's interesting how people can have a problem with themselves like she does, but great how she's been able to overcome. She's always had a stunning face, that I've ever seen her. You two are fun friends to hear chat and should do more!

For me, admitting I'm the piece of snit in a situation is usually easier than accepting the other person involved is not the piece of snit. Thems the breaks, I guess.

I have binged so many episodes of the podcast and kept putting this particular episode off because what could this beautiful person possibly have to talk about….holy shit how wrong I was! She is absolutely brilliant and articulate and deep. Wow

Without knowing much about her I confess I did get a little bit of the ick years ago when I heard about her calling people incels (or whatever story social media was passing around). Now I'm a bit angry that I let them steer my perceptions of her. After seeing this I adore her and am hugely impressed with the life she was able to build on top of such an unfortunate foundation. All of that staring at people from afar paid off because her social IQ is higher than mine will ever be.

    8.5 mins in..
I think females don't friend as good as guys do, in a sense.
my and my guy friends check each other.
some females share stories with me regarding their bff gfs, and I always ask, why don't you just tell/ask her?
and it seems they/she's afraid to cross that line to offend, or have an awkward moment.
and I always say/think that they're not really bffs if you can't cross that line.

As someone in recovery, this podcast has quickly become one of my favorites. Hearing these people discuss their pitfalls and open up and be vulnerable – all while being charming and hilarious and dropping references that I only know because of my time spent using – all makes this feel like this podcast is directed straight at my ears specifically

I don't even know where to start on this. Jameela, for me, just went from beings a one-sided character that i never really gave much thought to, to maybe my favorite person ever. I want to simultaneously be her mother, her best friend, her mentee… I loved every word out of this woman's mouth.
