I can't believe it took more than a half-hour for someone to define an apocalypse. A two-second Google search would've saved them ten minutes of rule hashing. Interesting takesâSnowpiercer and 28 Days Later are solid choices!
What are your thoughts on Interstellar qualifying as an apocalyptic movie? Governments still exist, though they're struggling. The world is limping on in the "old" way of life. But it's gripped in a cataclysm that forces them to take action before civilization is swallowed up. It hovers on the brink of apocalypse, but it's not dystopian . . .

8:33 excuse me!? "Common is really great in it"? What is Gruss smoking⌠Commonâs objectively the worst part of the show. Easily the weakest actor by a mile. Heâs so unnatural and stiff when he talks itâs ridiculous at this point. He was slightly better this season but that maybe just because theyâve noticed heâs not very good and made his role less important. Also this season gave us so many answers and thereâs another one coming next year so I have no idea what Gruss is complaining about. He just keeps having bad takes lol.

Fellas – what time do you record this? I always wake up to an episode being available and can never call in đ My rage take wouldâve been that Harry Potter stinks and I canât stand when characters in series [routinely see crazy things], but [canât accept the next crazy thing] đ

It wasn't in the film, but the counselor or whoever consulted an AI. I don't recall but I think V hacked it near the end .

I don't know if anyone has read the book 'Henry's Quest' (graham oakley), its a beautifully drawn children's book. Its about a young man going on a classic medieval quest, to win the hand of a princess in exchange for mythical gasoline. He gets into numerous adventures, all amongst a post-apocalyptic setting, which is NEVER mentioned. Its almost just another archaeological surface to the landscape, where the surviving people are reusing artifacts they find along the way e.g. his colander for a helmet. It would make an incredible film/series!

My favorite post-apocalyptic movie is Book of Eli. Both Denzel and Gary crushed it.

52:56 BTW, the Will Smith movie was at least the third adaptation of the novel "I Am Legend." Vincent Price starred in "The Last Man on Earth" in 1964 and Charlton Heston in "The Omega Man" in 1971.

There's not always a clear line between dystopian and apocalyptic. For example, the original Mad Max is both. The sequels are post-apocalyptic.

I know Gruss wonât acknowledge this as a real film because it was âmade using drawingâ but my go-to apocalyptic film is Don Bluthâs Titan A.E. (2000).
Great world building, awesome character design, and one of the few pieces of fiction out there which correctly demonstrates that if youâre a human being about to be exposed to the vacuum of space, you should rapidly hyperventilate and exhale whatâs in your lungs and NOT hold your breath.
Trying to fill your lungs and hold in it is exactly what will cause a personâs lungs to burst in space and kill you immediately.
Sona is correct about Wall-E, as she is about most topics.
