Watching the docu series and remembering the moment that richie said that it doesn't sound like him and that the fans know richie's playstyle and he absolutely had every right to be mad.

In my opinion ithink if Richie comes back
The band should be a 5 piece band
    No e street band shit!!!
    Wtf is that?? 7 members???
    Thats not Bon jovi.
    Maybe thats Jon Bon Jovi
Bon Jovi is Rock n roll
But i think in the early days he compromise and did what they did (first 4 albuns) because was the only way to break through he followed what McGhee said
But nowadays he just wants to do what he really wants to be since day 1
The Atlantic city express way was a prehistoric form of what Bon jovi is today
    My opinion

in reality Bon Jovi only had 4 good albums, slippery, New Jersey, these days and believe it or not Jons first solo album which he sounded great in. they also had a few singles that were good like bed of roses, always, I actually liked a few songs off of lost highway. Anything past these days isn't that good.

I actually kinda liked that red, white and jersey song… at least they acknowledged what decade they’re from with those 80’s AOR keyboards in the intro 😂…

It’s not bad music. It’s well written pop/rock. It sounds like jbj singing a generic Bryan Adams song.

Side note: I’m convinced in a 100 years Bryan Adams will be remembered up there with the greats cuz if you listen to every pop/rock song that’s come out since Americana took off in the late 90’s… they all sound like generic album filler song from Bryan Adams… 😂😂😂😂

Seriously, name popular rock song that isn’t from a metal band from 2000 on… and try finding a better descriptor than generic Bryan Adams song 😂😂😂

What a strange statement when John shanks entered Bon Jovi they all started sounding like hollow man ? Given shanks was producer on have a nice day and the circle I'm not sure that's true

If Jon Bon Jovi would have released for example Red White & Jersey as an album track on blaze of glory people would have told him "go check your 50 dollar doctor for "Borderline" syndrome.
They have 50 better b sides like the shit he fills his records since this unbelievable weak Because We Can.

    And no:
Alec once said "I know how Jon writes.
Its Richie who rewrites his ideas and who brings the rock."

Jon was writing stuff like Heartbreak Eyes, Hollywood Dreams or Stringing A Lie, before he met Richie.

Not as rock as Rick Springfield, a bit more rocking like maybe Hall & Oates

My question for Jon is what's the point? Why continue to make these professional musicians record new cheesy music and set aside several days for a music video that isn't going to go anywhere? I know they have a show coming up at the end of the month but it's probably a one off and there won't be anymore new tours in the near future. So again, what's the point??

As a die hard Bon Jovi fan I have to admit you are only saying what the die hard Bon Jovi fans are thinking. I'm 53 and I've followed them since Slippery When Wet. Since Richie left the 3 albums ( I'm not including Burning Bridges) have got some decent songs on them but they needed to have a heavier tempo. Richie is the main man although I feel sorry for Phil X he is not be given the chance to shine on those records.
