A new GNR album? Great, see you in a decade for the release! Only half joking. CD might have taken a while, but it was good, so even if takes a few years, I'm excited to see what could happen.

Rush – Geddy and Lerxst – are not doing it for money – they are already very well off. Touring as Rush? Maybe not. Nothing against the hired drummer but nobody can replace Neil Peart, and obviously Geddy and Alex know that – it is a tribute to their past music and recordings, of which Neil Peart was a massive part. I've no problem with it – just a shame they are not playing the UK but they cannot be taking on world tours at their time of life?

Rush lineup is fine even with 2 members, there are plenty of bands touring with only 1-2 original members. What is not fine is Ticketmaster jacking prices to the Moon and selling tickets for $800-2000. It's just not worth it to me to pay this much money to see them this late in their career.

Rush are my favorite band of all time. I have been a diehard fan since 1984. My issue with this is calling it Rush. It is not Rush without Neil. Call it "An evening of Rush music" or something: all good. But this doesn't sit right with me.

I was expecting Lee/Lifeson to come back sooner or later. I had predicted that they would use some other name, but obviously the have every right to come out as Rush! Dream comes true. I hope they visit Europe after the US. It's one of the few acts I haven't managed to see live. The videos they released along with the announcement were really great. I love these guys and this band. Neil would be proud indeed…

I've loved Rush since I was 11, but 300 plus dollars for the cheapest seats is a bit much for me right now. It also does not help the argument that this is not a cash crab.

Really haven't seen much negativity over Rush's new tour!! Having been into the band since I saw them open for Cheap Trick back in the 70's, Neil would totally support this!! Going the first 2 nights cannot wait!!!

Im sure any modern drummer is a product of his influence, so its not disrespectful, its a tribute to his influence and i dont think anyone would take that throne without ultimate respect for the professor!

Geddy and Alex would have lucky to be Styx without Neil . The debut is a flaccid Zep ripoff with a drummer that makes Peter Crisscoula sound like Carl Palmer. I must have read a thousand interviews in the last 10 years where both Geddy and Alex promised they would not play as Rush without the professor. Now in some interviews I could feel Geddy moving in the direction of a lee / Lifeson collaboration but Alex seemed reticent. Now this full reunion with a female drummer no less . This is equal parts virtue signal , publicity stunt and has a built in “ hey Rush faithful , we know we promised to call it lee / Lifeson but we saw page / plant didn’t do multiple arena nights or stadiums, sorry , and don’t criticize us cause we got a female drummer , Neil wrote that in code with clockwork angels”. Fuck , I remember a guy wrote in 85 “ big money got no soul ……”

Like I feel about Queen, They can make a comeback but they have to change the name Rush minus 1 , something!! I’ve seen Rush 37 times but won’t be back until they do that

Rush is an example of a band who retired at the right time. "Queen" shat on their legacy by setting up a covers band and thrashing the hits over and over. There are so many examples of bands and performers who retired at a good point and then came back and dented their reputation by playing and continuing to play well past what they were physically capable of bringing to the stage. I hope it goes well, and I am not "telling" Geddy and Alex what to do, but a differently named side project would have been a better idea. 99.9% of people don't care who the drummer in a band is. This is the only example I can think of where the average non-musician fan had a really good grip on Neil's status within the band. I hope to God that people don't dump on Anika, as they are wont to do when a band does something they don't like.

My Dying Bride are one of my fave bands so this is like a punch to the gut. I think Aaron got burned out making their last album and needed a break.. but ultimately it just seemed like a communication breakdown between Aaron and the rest of the band. It's so frustrating as it seemed like one afternoon down a pub together would solve everything

IMO there is no My Dying Bride without Andrew & Aaron together – that combination is the soul of the band 🥀

Wow, Anika sounds really average. Rush has pulled a woke move and all you Rush fans who think this is something totally out of this world. Enjoy paying 1000 bucks a ticket and paying for Geddys new cottage.
