Logan Ryan, “Signed, Love Wynonna” // GemsOnVHS™

I got to spend some time in rural Oregon earlier this year, invited to the Jackalope Jamboree by the amazing group of people who put the festival on, Chad and Rian. Y’all might have seen some of the other videos we’ve released from those couple days with Emily Nenni (https://youtu.be/kx79GVSL60w?si=tWvya_yhzmAzVzKN) and Two Runner (https://youtu.be/DC8gy61Nii0?si=mh8N6MWdbiYATh_d). It was a busy week.

They gave me full access to wander around bothering artists, and one group I wanted to meet was Logan Ryan Band. Aptly named, as the lead singer and songwriter is Logan Ryan, and he is joined here with his band. They hail from Texas, and write songs that remind me of that south central Texas grit. This one is “Signed, Love Wynonna”. I really enjoy Logan’s intricate flat picking and clever lyrics. We had to hide behind the stables at the Pendleton arena, as it was windy as fuck. Luckily we found a little cover, and he knocked this one out of the park.
