What a load of BS. The premise was that Spotify was bad, but go on to make it a physical vs digital thing. If it really was about Spotify, why sneakly omit the fact that other streaming services exist? Why does he pretend digital downloads don't exist? You purposly misdirected it into being about physicality even when that wasn't the point you were making. Let's look at the options we have:

1.Tape cassette – sounds like garbage and one of the worst ways to listen to music, why go through the effort of putting together a good project on a medium that sounds terrible?

2. USB shaped like a cassette – some gimicky way of getting digital files with extra steps where there's unecessary friction between paying for a physical object

3. Your Patreon – so a subscription you'd have to sign up for

When you say that it's "not going to be released on Spotify", it implies that you are going to release it normally like anyone else would, but excluding Spotify, not through these inaccessible unconventional forms. You evangelize physical media while ignoring the additional costs to the consumer from the consequence of being limited to the physical world, not only costs to consumers, but the environment too. There are people around the world who might be interested, but screw them! This is just a publicity stunt to make bank by selling us physical junk by trying to grab us with some appeal to authenticity. It's all BS.

Respect. Between the absurdly low wages for artists, pushing AI music onto their streaming charts, and the CEO funding literal drone strike technology, I despise Spotify. I had it briefly in 2018, but got rid of it after learning about how badly they treat their artists. I get clowned on by friends for still downloading music off of iTunes, but at least I'm not contributing to such soulless evil
