Drumeo | October 6, 2026

Austin Archey finally makes his long-awaited Drumeo debut! In this #DrumeoLIVE session, Austin plays through some of Lorna Shore’s most intense tracks, including “War Machine,” “Oblivion,” “Sun//Eater,” “Glenwood,” and more!

Austin takes us behind the scenes of his early years as a drummer, his career with Lorna Shore, and the development of his extreme metal playing style. He also breaks down his approach to blast beats, hand and foot techniques, using triggers, developing speed and endurance, and staying relaxed while playing at extreme tempos.

ngl, i really hated deathcore and the start of lorna shore. but at some point when this album came out i started giving it a listen, and again, and again, and the drums were insane. but then the text. very emotional. but fck man. no homo, but i love this dude, he is insane. probably one of the best drummers in my opinion.

only after watching him play and see how easy he makes it look and just the vocals man, the more i listen to them, the more i love them. and till this day (20 years in metal) its the only deathcore band i think is insane, you feel all the emotions put into it.

I remember first hearing them and like so many other people immediately thought

"Oh, another band whose programmed all the drums and set it to 'absurd', well good luck pulling that off live…"

I just wanted to snitch on myself and retract my previous statement.

glenwood is a fucking banger. this whole set was amazing. what an amazing drummer. i will definitely check them out. people who complain about triggers, especially in his genre and the way he set them up, have no idea what they are talking about.

I know this is a drum channel and Austin is a menace. But yall pleassseeee go watch the guitar play through of sun//eater. It’s fucking nuts how fast that dude is with his hands matching the drums to the guitar notes. It’s wild

One day I'll be on drumeo and show the world that Tom fills in deathcore or techdeath is a MUST! I feel a lot of metal drummers (not all) only focus on double bass and the snare. I like my metal with textures. One day! I also should start putting out more drum videos soon! Austin is great just would love for him to be more creative with his Tom fills maybe adding 2 more but all drummers have their go to set up.
