Well this certainly didn't age well. Most of what players expected following the 2018 forty minute gameplay demo and what CDPR had been claiming about the game for the past two years turned out to be nothing more than a far reaching ambition, due to a combination of the developers not having enough time to implement such complex systems, and capability limitations from getting the game to run on previous-gen hardware.
