We’re diving deep into some 80s nostalgia today, reading real handwritten notes that we passed in class with our best friends! Remember when the texting was just paper and pen? Get ready for some retro vibes and laughs! My Gen X school friends join me for this special episode as we read our old notes for the first time since the 1980s. I can’t believe my friend Allison kept ALL the notes we passed to each other back in middle school, but I’m SO thankful she did. They are loaded with nostalgia and absolutely hysterical! If you’ve ever wondered what school life was like back in the 80s, here’s a glimpse into the minds of some silly Gen-X girls. ENJOY!

    Okay, as much as I love your videos, I am going to leave this one early as I feel I am crashing a girl's night. Not really my cup of tea, if you get my drift. However, I love yours and your friend's energy, all three of you are funny without trying to be funny. Beautiful energy.

    x 1:19 That reminds me of the movie My Best Friend's Exorcism!
    o The main character's names are Abby and her friend Gretchen (played by Amiah MILLER).

    x 3:21 We wrote in cursive until I was in 5th grade.
    x 4:03 People in California use the word fire all the time…but that is because half of their state in on fire lol.
    x 5:53 Being neglected was a common experience for the majority of Gen X'ers.
    o The majority of Gen X'ers did not have parental figures who did anything significant to better the lives of their children.
    o In Roman Legend, Romulus and Remus were nursed by a she-wolf when they were left alone in the wilderness.

    x 13:35 That is one of my favorite commercials of all time!

    o I have no heard of any film classes offered in public school in this area.

    x 24:40 Speaking of 240…my family lived at 240 Synder Street when I went to Burwell Public Schools (Grades 1-12).

    o After spending the night in Columbia, South Carolina, I drove straight to Charleston, South Carolina.

    x 40:10 My grandmother collects cow memorbilia.
    o My grandparents own the ranch Sandy Spots.
    † When I was younger it was a dairy.

    x 40:27 One of my nicknames is Barnyard Ben.
    x 40:39 My great grandmother Rossow collected troll dolls.
    o They were only single pop culture items that I ever saw in her house.

    I think I have those records on your wall except the Tiffany one. Out of the two records I ever bought as a kid, I still have my original Vivid. I bought cassettes because I could listen to them on my skateboard.

    I now finally get that Waynes World joke.
    When Wayne pulls up to the old guy in the Rolls-Royce and says
    "Excuse me, do you have any Grey Poupon?"
    Growing up in Sydney, Australia. Never got to see that advert. Or knew it was even for an advert.
