Is having Cuba inside your territory worth an almost irreparable loss of trust and appreciation with the rest of the world?

Real policemen defend and follow the law. Which international law allows it to start a war against a country because you don't like the leadership, their political system and there is no proof that they are a threat to the world. I would think that a country that always brags about championning freedom, would not want to determine what political system is allowed elsewhere.
A real policeman also doesn't arrest or fight with a person because he will profit from it.
