You know… this movie actually did age well. Honestly. Look at what we've become. We are sitting around watching a woman who murdered her 3 little children try to get off with "postpartum psychosis", while what feels like more than half of all women support her and give her millions of dollars. This movie is showing that women need to be stopped at the point when they just cross the line, instead of letting them draw new lines to cross over. And the women probably need a "spanking" (read ACCOUNTABILITY), done in FULL PUBLIC VIEW, for society to heal and for things to be better. It's actually insane how relevant the philosophical plot of this movie is to the modern day. And the teaching is that all it takes for EVIL to succeed is for good men to do nothing.

Idk if it was their description of the movie or the movie itself, but the movie sounds creepy. Like the message is that if the women folk are get too highfalutin, wanting to choose their own partners or have a right to a divorce or just turn down your advances, then the answer is physical, borderline sexual, assault and battery. Once you do that and establish that society laughs and says "you deserve it!" then that woman will just have to marry you and suddenly respect and love you for that abuse. That treating a grown woman like a child is the only way to treat women. 😬🤢🤮

On the one hand, I grew up loving this movie. On the other hand… this is a moderately accurate description of the main throughline of the movie. lol

Funny enough though, how is this any different than the Cerci walk of shame from Game of Thrones. Sometimes a B!tch getting her just desserts is what society wants to see. 😅
