the thing that is so confusing to me is when guys like beato and mr carey (nothing but respect for this legend) here say "rock & roll is dead" just because of what is happening or not happening in the stadiums with mimimg or click tracks. just because it is not in the top 10 doesn't mean it doesn't exist. it takes literally five minutes to discover that there are THOUSANDS of bands doing it the real way, even if we aren't enjoying a golden age. just literally off the top of my head: jive machine, king gizzard etc, monolord, geese, angine de poitrine, mac de marco, hollow ship, clutch, the strokes, bush (still around and good),the warning, sheer mag, delta saints and on and on. That's not even the tip of the iceberg. —and I'm no music expert, I just learn about these pretty well-known bands from Google and Spotify (and i am also old )

The occult stuff – what he thought was the occult stuff, wasn't at all 🙂 It was a prank gone way, wayyyy to far and was a lot more than lit tarot cards under the door! There was an edit, there, though – don't know if it's too libellous!!

Heard Ritchie say in an interview that he liked AC/DC when Rainbow toured with them. He said he thought their style was "outdated" but good, powerful, and that the audience really loved them.

Rock was unalived by stripping actual music out of it, also singers w brutal ego's. Notice most 80's GODS never touched Prog? You must have music in your soul deeply first, to not sell out and just keep the cash cow alive. Music like Yes, Ekseption, Rick Van Der Linden / Trace, ELP were meant to be expanded upon, like Tony's "Ripples" tune.. P.S. Please interview David Stone, not sure why a man with his vast background and talent only does a bar band thing..

Tony Carey was the best part of that lineup for me. I've never understood why Tarot Woman was replaced by Kill the King. Tarot was the perfect opening number. Amazing keyboard performance!
