My very first TR game was Tomb Raider: Unfinished Business. (PC) when I was 10. My step dad and I played it, and he beat it.

When I was 12, I got a play station, but was "forbidden" from having the TR games. So I could only play 2 and 3 at a friends house. I had a demo of Last Revelation. I managed to get my hands on Chronicles, and was happy to finally have a TR game.

I was disappointed. Reason? No Croft Manor. I didn't touch it again for a few months, then decided to play it. Chronicles grew on me eventually, and I enjoyed it even though I couldn't get past the 4th chapter.

My favorite was the third chapter because…creepy. Even though I was scared sh*tless on those levels due to no weapons. Lol.

The dev team was tired, and it showed. To me, Chronicles was still decent and I was thankful for the entry.

A shame about AoD. Ironically, I could NEVER find a copy of it when I had a PS2.

And that's why u chumps should've just bought em a PC. Lol. That's where I played all these same games at. I was even in a really poor family and we had a PC, PlayStation, and all the Nintendo systems. 90% of the time I just played on the PC unless it was Nintendo brand exclusive. Then I used the console. Y'all mother fuckers didn't have to miss out. U just had to be smart about what u bought. PC will ALWAYS be the h.n.i.c..lol

7:17 I won't even lie… when tomb raider first came out we had it and I could never even get past the mansion part… I was pretty young though 🤷🏼‍♂️ every time I played it I would just run around jumping and whatnot til I got bored and decided to quit 😂😂😂 after that I don't think I ever played any others up until the newer one on xbox one, and even that one I only played like once… didn't make it far in that one either lmao

Opposite for me: dad kept up with Sony, I'm guessing he dropped Nintendo when their business practices became hostile as he was also a distributor (owned his own rental store). I didn't get Zelda, but I definitely got Final Fantasy and all the PS1 greats.

I love that the lever that opens the door is literally just one of the guys holding a tool disguised as a rock.

Yep, I was the idiot who bought this game out of a dollar bin thinking it would be fun to play.
You get a huge bucket load of turds when you fight the monster in the cathedral. That fight was so clunky and bad you could die in just two hits and the monster was garbage. The ending sucked too. Play it on YouTube.

Coming from watching Rerez’s Just Bad Games video on Angel of Darkness, the Remaster on the collection doesn’t fix much, the game looks and runs better, but the controls are still not as good as the previous titles even with the modern control options. And the game is still prone to glitching at times, not as unstable as PS2 but pretty buggy
