I loved Dungeon Master. It was THE game for my final two years of university. I was one of three guys on my floor with a PC. I had a 520ST one year, a 1040ST the next, and the other two guys had equivalent Amigas. What a time it was…

I wonder how Recalbox compares to RetroPie. I use the latter on my Pi 3B+ and Pi 4 4GB.

I wonder if the Rampocalypse will make Raspberry Pi's more relevant for retro gaming again. For a while, you could pick up mini pcs that performed better and were price competitive with a Raspberry Pi 5 and needed accessories. I had picked up a great little mini PC with 12 gb ram that can emulate up to PS2 for around $100, but I've seen it going for more than double that now. I get that the Raspberry Pi has ram too, but there's still a lot of retro goodness that you can do with a low ram spec Pi.

I haven't used Recallbox, I have used RetroPi though and thats pretty cool. Nice to see some news on the pi 🙂

I’ve used Recalbox on my Pi500 and it is excellent however I managed to break it when adding some bios and roms, don’t know what I done wrong but looks like I’m going to have to start again but it is worth it.

I loved Dungeon Master back in the day. I tried it recently. It does not hold up.
I didn’t know Jon had an ST. I thought he went from Atari 8-bit to Amiga.

On a completely separate note.. How is Recall Box OS DIFFERENT from Batocera OS? Does it focus more on retro or.. Is it more of a different flavor?

I used to use Recalbox on Pi, and the best HAT for it, the Recalbox RGB Dual, made for a great setup to play on CRT
