I'm about 20 minutes though this, but its the very start of 2026 and it's not starting out great, I seem to be in the start of a cold coming on and it's been a few years since I have been seriously sick and I'm worried this could develop into another big one.
But watching this while eating my morning cereal has been a treat, cozy comfy vibes that take me back to a simpler time I never lived through. When it seems creativity and personality was on full display all over the internet, even if technically more simplistic than some stuff that came later. Reminds me of my first Minecraft experiences back in 2010/2011 playing the free version which had no survival gameplay, just building blocks and a limited set as that. Yet it felt like people used that limited block set to be in some ways more creative that what has come later. Sometimes I think limitations breed more creativity and innovation.
So thanks for making videos like this, it probably is a huge trip down memory lane for people who actually got to live during those times!

As if we didn't need more proof of Bert's shenanigans, there was a cutaway gag in an early "Family Guy" episode which underhandedly suggested Bert was domestically abusing Ernie while under the influence of alcohol. It also revealed Bert's profession was apparently an undercover police officer.

Am I the only one who as a young child thought Bert was some sort of banana creature, and Ernie was some kind of orange (fruit) creature? I mean, their heads are the same shape and color as the fruits. They look more like fruit than people.

It's definitely grown, there's a whole subgenre with both Bert and Ernie as the subjects and the situations are much, much darker in context.

I'm right at the beginning of the video, so if it comes up later, pardon, but he is not (just) Osamas right hand (tho I'm curious where this goes^^) but actually he's the right hand of a certain Adolf Hitler. Seriously check pictures of Rudolf Hess and compare them to Bert 😀 It's crazy… they just look the same… You just need to find two pictures from a similar perspective
