When I was young, I worked at a video rental store. My male colleague started getting uncomfortable around a woman that just kept coming on to him to the point of hiding in the backroom when he saw her coming. My boss just laughed and joked about it. I was expecting it when it happened to us girls ("you're making a bit deal of it, the poor guy is just being nice, just smile back, what's the harm?"), but I was shocked to see him mock the poor boy for "not going for it".

That was the point where I realized this stupid system hurts men too, not just women. I still remember the guy coming into the backroom and asking me to interrupt my dinner to go deal with the woman and he kept trying to make light of it, how she's annoying and i'm in a bad mood etc, when I could see how anxious he was. He couldn't even be honest when asking for help

God I wish I had had a Signifier in my life when I was a teen. Thankfully I live in a country that ranks top 3 in least sexist (but it is still absurdly sexist) and the moment I tried the whole "Yo bitch fuck you you whore" I got pushback and realised "Wait a minute, they're people, wtf am I doing."

This situation makes me think about the YouTuber kwebbelkop, a YouTuber who many of you may know for his weird AI shit but before that he was a big YouTuber who mainly did like Minecraft and GTA stuff and had collaborations with big names like PewDiePie (we're not getting into that right now) and jacksepticeye and Markiplier. His videos were mainly and obviously targeted towards children the bright colors the Minecraft the GTA challenges and shit and he talked about pornography and pornhub like, a lot. Like so much like almost every video. So I being a naturally curious child looked up what that was and was exposed to hardcore pornography like a lot at 8 years old. And I know I'm not the only person this happened to because I talked to one of my friends and the exact same thing happened to her. And no one ever not even when all that shit with the AI happened ever ever talks about it.

The fact that he said he was 14 or 15 on the call and they legit kept egging it on was the most disturbing part of the thing. That and he probably felt as though he was in the "cool kids" circle, yet he was hanging out with a bunch of losers.

FD this is why you are a BLESSING to this generation and the platform of YouTube. As a fan of Ak (for one trust me I don’t blame you not liking him even his fans HEAVILY disagree with his actions at times), the way you illuminated the correct issue which was deeper than his inappropriate conversation (extremely wrong I AGREE) was immaculate. You shined a light on the deeper issue within society’s raising of young men which I couldn’t see clearly until you eloquently pointed it out. They wanted him to express homophobia or sexual to desires to prove he’s a “real” man when,in reality, those tropes reinforce ancient stereotypes of masculinity. Appropriating this message is damaging to the young male psyche. Made me think of when I was in HS older males asking me “how many b-words have I had sex with”(in vulgar language you could imagine) reinforcing that my masculinity was somehow tied to my promiscuity which I always felt was wrong but couldn’t explain why. This video made me reflect on the deep messages that stay with young males as they go through life as has led to the celebration of extreme figures in the red pill as well. Very good video.

PS: side note, part of me knows AK can be extremely toxic (arguing with women, aggressive stereotypes and other extreme takes at times) but part of me can see through him. Not in a condescending way, but in a way that says “I understand your plight”. You were probably picked on like I was and got some of the extreme messages of that as well that you haven’t FULLY recovered from. That makes me hold grace for his extremities because I know on the inside he’s just a hurt/scared dude like I was in HS. As the one famous phrase goes “to know all is to forgive all” and couldn’t have said it better myself

yeah the fact that genuinely bad people gotta do outrageous things before their stopped should tell us about the type of society we're in. We need to do our part to address this, word up

I think it’s funny how a dude can all of a sudden be a simp for calling out fuck shit that other men do.

This channel just got a new subscriber keep up the good work man!

I am a new sub and I am loving your channel and this is the best thing I’ve seen yet. A lot of men and young men listen to you and to talk about this in the context of patriarchy is both real and needed. Keep doing what you’re doing.🙌
