I have been to the underground house and can confirm that the hand chair is very fun to spin around in. Also, the floor by the pool is astroturf and has several holes in it for putting/mini-golf 🙂

The grain elevator looks like an actual good deal. Worst case scenario, you dismantle it, use a fraction of the wood to build a nice house and sell the rest.

We have grain silos (different from an elevator but still) in our town and for the longest time the land wasn’t developed because it was a brownfield site and there was contamination of the soil from pesticides. It did get cleaned up and eventually they turned the bottom of the silo into a cafe. I wouldn’t be surprised if the owner of this grain elevator had to spend some money to address soil or groundwater contamination.
