As someone who has known him for almost 20 years since I was 12 years old. There’s a SLEW of things that people would never know or understand about him. He was a better person at heart than people understand. And I would like to thank you Justin personally for NOT making it about him being a pedo. He was NOT like that. At all. Ever. He was so against that crap. He may not have grown up in Japan, he may have had a made up backstory…. That part is entirely fact. The reason why though would take SO long to explain. But untimely boils down to that some people would rather create a fake past, than deal with the real past. But in truth, he did live as closely as possible to the life of a modern day samurai. He was not afraid to stand up for people. Protect people. He went out of his way to study REAL swordsmanship (even if it wasn’t from a master) he researched and adopted the expectations and mannerisms. He embodied it. Completely. For the time that I knew him and spent time with him, he had never hurt me. Never harmed me. Only had ever helped me. Countless times. He was a good person. He wasn’t just some nerd Naruto running down the street thinking it looked cool. To him, that was who he really was. Delusional sure. But still a hell of a lot better than a some people.

He should move to California I guess? We have no fixed blade length limits, just that they have to be sheathed openly (it's up to debate if they have to be in your body, the general consensus is wear them at the waist). So he could come here and enjoy his samurai fantasy fairly freely, unless a city or county law was in effect; my county has none.

As someone who people would call a weeb I have to say something I love about Japanese culture is people accidentally and silently show their ignorance. Just the way the 2 guys handed eachother the swords wrong says everything. Even what people see as fancy is being done wrong, and most of it I could do at 12 years old better than he does. Dude was just a textbook example of why the stigma against weebs exists.
