For those who don't know, this actually is more or less why people started saying bless you. And why I think everyone should stop doing so, because it's just a weird silly superstition

I’ve been saying this for years. It’s incredibly stupid that we do the bless you thing. Imagine if we did that when someone farted. Like if it was on everyone else to call out someone’s bodily function. It doesn’t make sense, and it’s even crazier that it’s considered rude not to say it. It’s just an insane rule we blindly obey without question. Have I stood up for my beliefs on this? Absolutely not. I still say bless you because even though I realize how incredibly dumb it is, I can’t explain this every time someone sneezes and I don’t want to be looked at as a dick by people who don’t question why things are the way they are. It’s the path of least resistance but more importantly it’s not really a battle worth having. It’s no big deal, but it IS stupid.

in Turkish we say "Long live" when someone sneezes or the more modern version for people who justifiably thinks living long isn't always a good thing, we might say "live well" instead.

In my country, we say something like either 'Be Healthy' or 'Have Luck', so if we want to joke we often say 'Have luck! After all, the folks on Titanic were healthy too"

I have always been that person who will be the one to say, "bless you" to a random stranger out in public when no one else does, and this sketch is making me rethink my whole being and purpose.
