A viral clip claims Axl Rose’s voice is failing, but it leaves out what he told MetLife Stadium.
On August 12, 2026, Axl Rose stopped the Guns N’ Roses show at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, to tell the crowd he’d had a jaw procedure two days earlier and has TMJ. Reviews from Hershey, Edmonton and Las Vegas are split, Duff McKagan says Rose plays against medical advice, and the band played 30 songs in San Diego.

Saw them a couple of years ago. It was definitely a bucket list concert that I wanted to check off. The band sounded great, but he simply does not have it anymore with all due respect. They will always be one of my most favorite bands.

I'll take live singing any day. I'm not even a GnR fan, but Axl sounds solid enough even in his struggles. He is on pitch, but lacks the usual power. That's all

GNR does not work as a legacy act for me. I believe they were only meant to exist when they were young hungry and dangerous. I say that with respect because that’s how special they were .

NO FAKE ASS BACKING TRACKS EVER!!!! Sorry I’m Old School and can’t deal with all this new “It’s ok” to have backing tracks. NO. I WANT TO SEE A REAL BAND PLAY AND SING FOR REAL. So I tip my hat to Axl, Jon, and all the others out there KEEPING IT REAL. They may sound like ass but they’re doing it THE RIGHT WAY. ROCK AND ROLL ISNT MEANT TO BE PERFECT BUT REAL YES.

Saw him this year in Miami. Appetite songs were great. Some of the newer stuff he struggle to harmonize. I also think he was having issues with his monitor. Still enjoyed.

3 hours is crazy! They could get away with 1:15 like KISS or 1:30 and everyone would love it. THEY CHOOSE to do 3 HOURS because they want to do it all. All the respect to those guys 💯

Saw them at Rockville in May… honestly, I thought they were great! Axl's voice has definitely aged… but he seems to know it and adjusts to it accordingly.

I don’t understand why Axl has to try to use the falsetto on every song, he should do it 2-3 times a night tops, I like his lower register a lot better.

I just had skull surgery. It's not pleasant and I was down for 3 weeks. Still not totally recovered even a month later. It's no joke. Best of luck to Axel's recovery because I couldn't imagine being on stage that long that soon after surgery.

For the prices GnR is charging he should sound like he did in the 90s. If he can't because of age, then prices should be adjusted accordingly.

The way Axl sings is going to be impossible to maintain for 50+ years. It's a lot of stress on the voice. I'd rather see him sing like shit over a backing track.

All love and respect for Guns n Roses and Axl. Finally saw them and glad I did. No one forced me to watch their show, or listen to Axl. If its not for you, just dont listen/buy tickets. Too much hate and jealousy in the world.

Saw them in June, sure, the voice isn't the same as it was 30 years ago, but I think he did a great job and i had a blast! To me he didn't sound like Mickey Mouse at all. Perhaps he had a few off days, but in june he sounded great.
