That Big Thief album was by far my favorite album of the year UNTIL I discovered "Sod's Toastie" by The Cool Greenhouse 3 weeks ago. It's a really cool minimalist post-punk album that hasnt gotten much love and also their first album from 2020 is also really good.

It couldn't have been any other album, what an incredible album. Not only is the music incredible but like you said the album really pushed the boundaries of what Big Thief is as a project. Really exciting (and rare) to see a group mature so well. Great list

nice list. I too have the exploratory bug for new music and am also one of those Mellon Collie mega fans. I gotta check out some of these on your list esp.the Built to spill and Big thief albums. thanks for sharing.
