The Beginning of Everything — The Big Bang
How did everything get started?
Has the universe a beginning or was it here since forever? Well, evidence suggests that there was indeed a starting point to this universe we are part of right now. But how can this be? How can something come from nothing? And what about time? We don’t have all the answers yet so let’s talk about what we know.
Also, we try to make this one not depressing. Tell us if we succeeded.
BY THE WAY. We have a website now. We’ll try to blog from time to time, show you guys how we make the videos and give more insight to our process. Also we sell stuff. We really don’t know where this whole kurzgesagt stuff leads us. But we are really thankful for all the attention and positive feedback and yeah, maybe we can make this our jobs — it would be pretty nice and we could do more content each month. But we’ll see. For now, thank you very much everybody for making this little adventure possible.

Thomas did an aweful good job again. 🙂
Next Video: April. (as soon as we can but we kind of have to make a living and visit college) Topic: Nuclear Energy (probably, if we finish the research in time — if not something else)
Short videos, explaining things. For example Evolution, the Universe, Time, the Stock Exchange or controversial topics like Fracking. Because we love science.

My problems with this: "we can ignore the beginning part for now" ?!?! 😭 Space isn't nothing, where did it come from? Also WHY is it stretching everywhere. Maybe you shouldn't have skipped that first part… And how is there energy to make gluons then quarks in the first place? WHY IS IT THAT HOT THOUGH IF IT CAME FROM NOTHING? and then it just get crazy… I'm mostly focusing on the start though. Why would you ignore the beginning part on a video you think is the literal beginning? Do we not know? I'm sure we think we know at this point.

What caused the big bang? "We don't know, and that's okay because science doesn't always have the answer, and it doesn't pretend to know" doesn't count. If that's the case, then how do you know enough to call it the big bang, teach it as the "Big Bang" if you know nothing of the origins of the said "Bang"?

After 108 gyrs by the new scale, the lonely sombreros in the outer and inner 1/6 begin to spaghettify into the edges and congruent center. When that Singularity achieves Critical Mass it sends forth a new band.

The Skin of a Balloon, Universe.
This post looks at the Big Bang in a different way. My suggestion is that, instead of a point that inflates out in all directions; the Big Bang was more like a balloon of energy that kept filling up with space and time inside it.
Perhaps the best way to visualize this is to imagine the universe as the air inside a balloon, or the yolk in an egg.
Therefore, the universe didn't explode from a point in all directions, like in the standard scenario. Instead, the universe expanded from within the singularity like air expands inside a balloon. See illustration.
Further, that at first it expanded incredibly quickly; but as space got bigger and temperatures dropped the expansion slowed down.
Therefore all the universe is inside of a balloon skin of energy. But unlike a regular balloon skin; this balloon skin is everywhere there is space. We now call this balloon skin of energy surrounding the universe, vacuum energy, zero point energy, and or virtual particles.
This expanding balloon is hard to describe. First it is a singularity of perhaps endless energy. Next it is outside of time and space. Therefore any accurate description should say:
There was a pre Big Bang singularity of energy that was outside of space and time, that created a universe that expanded within that singularity.
I have named it as a DIMensionless Point, or Dimp for short. This point has expanded into a dimensionless balloon that is everywhere in the universe.
With this model of the Big Bang we can say the following.
The Big Bang continues to this day, though as the balloon skin stretches, it's expanding slower than at the start. This is probably due to either the greater amount of space, or the lower temperature of the universe, or both.
This model helps solve the vacuum catastrophe and the cosmological constant problem. This major problem in physics in it's most simple terms is this: The vacuum energy or energy in the skin of the balloon, is vastly greater than the cosmological constant or the dark energy that is expanding the universe from inside the balloon.
Physicists say they should be the same.
I say they should be different.
The vacuum energy is all energy that is; while the cosmological constant energy is that energy that crosses the skin of the balloon, and is expanding the balloon.
This energy balloon, in a Big Bang, inflated with space and time within it. This balloon skin energy is still everywhere as vacuum energy, zero point energy, or virtual particles.
Some of that energy crosses the skin of the balloon and continues to inflates the universe. This is called the cosmological constant or dark energy.
This approach to the Big Bang may help explain why there is vacuum energy, why it is so much greater than the dark energy that is expanding the universe, why it is everywhere, why the Big Bang is still going on, why there is no center to the universe, and more.
Thanks for reading. Please see my other videos for more on how each of these post ties in with the rest of my model.
