snail mail is a fucking genius and i adore her with my whole heart. everything about her lyrics are relatable, beautiful, and heart-wrenching. she truly is able to capture those specific dramatic, all-consuming teenage emotions and that’s what i love the most about her.

the terms "prodigy" and "genius" are used a little too loosely nowadays. I like snail mail too but has any ever her music been groundbreaking? no. same old chord progressions and rhythms
