Sight Reading Tips for the Classical Guitar

Sight reading is one of the most important skills for musicians. It allows you learn pieces faster, and to play music with other musicians, even if you haven’t seen the music before.

It can be a really difficult skills to develop, and it does take a long time. In this video, I offer a few ideas to help make sight reading more effective and easier.

Keep going, focus on the rhythm and pulse, and don’t stop if you make a mistake. Choose a tempo that is comfortable and appropriate for the music, and find a way of incorporating it into your daily practice routine.
