I think that if you want to make an album with 20+ songs you need to make the songs really short like under 2 minutes or under a minute, that way the songs will be infinitly loopable and the album wouldn't be 1h and 20m+ long.

I think an album should have 11-14 songs. I think drake should have released an album with about 13 song, n release the others as bonus tracks

If you don’t have a clear concept and it’s just a bunch of random tracks, it should not be an hour and a half long. Long albums can be great if they have a clear reasoning for why it was made. But honestly I feel like if drake had just split the album up and released 2 on the same day it would have profited just as well commercially but maybe one of them could have actually been critically acclaimed

As someone who's favorite album of all time is over 6 hours long, really an album can be as long as the artist wants it to be as long as each track forwards the artist's artistic vision or if each track sounds distinct from the rest of the album.

Generally albums over 70 minutes start to get boring for me, there are exceptions but it's gnerally better when an artist can craft an album with a shorter runtime

Watching this now, it's crazy to think that a double LP was shorter than this single fisc release.
Prince's 1999 wasn't even 71 minutes yet this droning monotonous mess is nearly 90 minutes… I don't mind long albums when the quality is worth the length but even then, I prefer albums that say more in less time.
