Joe. I watched the full docu on Nebula. This is tremendous. Please give yourself a gift and go to Iceland. Start with the Ring of Fire. The overwhelming sense of awe youâll feel about planet Earth is indescribable. Must be experienced.

I just assumed Joe realized the world is an interconnected and ever changing cacophony of complexity? This is like saying "The newest and oldest water on earth." Good concept but a maybe a better name.

Looks great but if you want 4 billion year old rocks, try Jack (and Erawandoo) Hills at 4.4bil; albeit technically a zircon, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Hills but looks like a rockâŠacts like a rock; and originates in the Hadean period – kinda like Trumpâs America but with molten rock

This is not Stone Henge, humans did Stone Henge. A few thousands of years.
This is a thousand times Stone Henge times a thousand.
Between going to college and doing your thesis 10 years past.
The blink of an eye relates to this period as humans relate to this rock's age.

Itâs fine to say youâve had spiritual experiences. Those are human experiences, not something owned by any religion or supernatural belief system.
Carl Sagan talked about having a secular spirituality. The Philhellenes video Science Saved My Soul calls it a âmindgasmâ. Dale McGowanâs piece On Being Awake describes trying to pass that feeling on to his kids. To me, itâs the realization, contemplation, & celebration of being connected to something much larger than myself.
Trace lineages back far enough & every human on Earth is a cousin. Weâre all family. Common descent shows weâre related to all life on Earth. Even the inanimate stuff came from the same ancient supernova; weâre literally stardust. Thatâs awe-inspiring & humbling at the same time. You feel enormous & infinitesimal at once.
Those feelings are part of human nature. Religious institutions just try to claim ownership of them & insist they come from whatever god-concept their authority depends on, but we donât need their interpretations to have the experiences & find them meaningful.
