Nobel Prize Snub Fuels Trump’s Greenland Threats & Macron Pushes Back at Davos | The Daily Show

The Daily Show | February 19, 2026

After receiving a secondhand Nobel Peace Prize from the real winner, Maria Corina Machado, Trump decides peace is for chumps and doubles down on his plans to take over Greenland, angering both Emmanuel Macron and Emmanuel Macron’s eye. Plus, while Josh Johnson thinks the president’s plan to extort Greenland out of Europe’s hands through tariffs will only hurt Americans, Michael Kosta demonstrates how kicking one’s own ass is the ultimate fighting strategy. #DailyShow #Trump #JoshJohnson #Greenland

This really is like a person threatening suicide if the other person won't do xyz… Except they're going to take down millions of people with them, including me.

What was that policy – "Never negotiate with a terrorist"? Yeah, Trump is holding the US hostage. Please, world, don't negotiate! Take him down!

    Q. I asked AI : why does trumps Administration feel like WWE 2002? ……….When people say the Trump administration feels like WWE, they’re usually pointing to the theatrical, combative, and entertainment‑driven style of politics. WWE storylines thrive on rivalries, exaggerated personas, and constant conflict — and some observers feel Trump’s political approach mirrors that energy.

🎭 Why the WWE Analogy Fits
Showmanship: Trump often frames politics as a spectacle, with rallies resembling entertainment events.

Rivalries: Like WWE feuds, his administration emphasized “us vs. them” dynamics — whether against political opponents, media, or institutions.

Catchphrases & Branding: WWE stars are known for slogans and personas; Trump similarly leaned on memorable phrases (“Make America Great Again”).

Unpredictability: WWE thrives on shock twists; Trump’s tenure often felt unpredictable, with sudden policy shifts or controversial statements.

🥊 Degeneration X vs. Randy Orton (2002 vibe)
Degeneration X (DX): Known for rebellious, anti‑establishment antics, breaking rules, and mocking authority.

Randy Orton (early 2000s): Young, ambitious, and positioned as a rising star, often clashing with established factions.

Parallel in Politics: Some see Trump’s team as DX — brash, rule‑breaking, and confrontational — while institutions, rivals, or even younger political figures resemble Orton, trying to carve legitimacy against the chaos.

You must impeach him. You’re wasting time, and he’s building a nuclear war bunker. Who will finish first. He’s reading this comment first and taking action before you, while you’re still thinking about it.

He wants Greenland because with climate change(warming) it will become a shipping, trading and RESORT goldmine. Yes the same climate change they claim is a hoax is the same thing they are betting on and willing to go to war over.

I think Trump wants to collect the money, so in exchange for the arms debt that the EU sends to Ukraine, he accepts Greenland. Ursula signs the pact and can go. Merz has already been told by Black Rock not to speak against it. And the EU will pay compensation to the Russians for their participation in the war. Trump creat new UN.

    This joke is actually incredible

Kosta: I can do this all day…because I have a concussion now and can't sleep.
Johnson: Kosta you gotta call a doctor.
Kosta: You need an ambulance that bad, huh Kosta?
    Johnson: You're Kosta.
