Minnesota’s ICE Problem Is Everyone’s Problem & Why Does Trump Want Greenland? | The Daily Show
“The idea that there’s gonna be some resolution without you getting involved is how every atrocity and tragedy throughout history happens.” Josh Johnson and Daily Show writer Nicole Conlan dive into how Minnesota’s residents are setting a precedent for resistance to ICE and discuss the responsibility of people outside the frontlines to learn their rights and engage in the fight, even in small ways. They also weigh in on Trump’s confusing fixation on Greenland, the president’s increasingly soupy brain, next week’s Oscar nominations, and the wholesome early days of the internet. #DailyShow #Minnesota #ICE #Greenland

Greenland is ultimately a pincer movement on Canada we've got Alaska on the one side Greenland on the other why wouldn't we close the gap.
The minerals are a bonus.

Are you now
or have you ever been
a human being?
With respect
that's a complex question.
Answer the question!
Depends what you mean by
human?
Answer the question!
Respectful to the committee
I ask for a clearer definition
for which incriminate myself.
Mr chairman, I want it noted
I hold the witness in complete
and utter contempt. I request –
no demand – the witness be
stripped of all civil and legal
rights, means of livelihood,
declared persona non-grata
be beaten, imprisoned and
deported without due process.
Now there is a clearer definition
Thank you

dudes. those AOL free trials used to come ON A FLOPPY DISK before they came on CDs. the internet started as a PAY BY THE MINUTE service. the scam was they'd "give you a taste" and when your "free" time ran out, you either needed to start paying by the minute or you lost access. but anyone who experienced dial-up at that time remembers how suicidally slow it was. you spent more time loading pages than you did experiencing content.

49:00 – Old time computer guy here. Nicole, You were not wrong. That's entirely correct that it was drivers and software on the disc. The 90 minutes was a voucher for 90 minutes of connected time. If you got another disc with another code you would get another 90 minutes for free. Or you could pay for more time.

90 minutes is what would have fit on the disk. It was measured in time because it was on a cd. At least that’s my guess, not seeing the disk and having that context.

Re languages and accents: For some of us.. accents "stick". Wherever we are, we automatically begin to speak as they do. It happens in multiple languages.

This regime does not need Greenland for security. It is corporations that want the land, the rare earth minerals, oil and other natural resources. The lobbyists of these corporations are the one's helping the corporations and these corporations are the puppet masters of this corrupt regime, and pulling the strings and supporting its lies, evil, hate and greed.

Seh was right about what the CD rom did. the 90minutes was the amount they would give you free. You used to pay per minute for AOL.

As a knowledgeable geek that knows what's actually on that disk thank you for the laugh.
In short AOL bundled software needed to connect to AOL. From that you could then browse the web.
To browse the web you needed a modem, an isp(internet service provider), and a web browser. You used the modem to connect to an isp, and the isp would connect you to the internet. The browser was what basically decoded a webpage for you.
Aol combinened all this in their software that made connecting to the internet easier for novices.

Every ICE "agent" will be exposed from address to current place of employment. They will most likely be looking over their shoulders for the rest of their lives…if they're well trained. Many will drop their guard without realizing it.

When i was teaching English in Japan, I was trying to teach kids to tell me what they did today. As an example I told them that I went to McDonald's, as there was a Mcdonald's just down the street and I knew they'd recognize it. Instead they got all confused and asked what I was talking about. I repeated, "MCDONALD'S." Still they were perplexed. So, knowing how I had to say it, I sighed, took a deep breath and said "Macdonardsu," and immediately their eyes lit up and they began repeating "Ohhh, MACDONARDSU!"
It felt so racist, but in Japanese it can actually be necessary…
