In the summer of 1981, a Star Wars-adjacent KIϟϟ-inspired band rocked the Space Stage in Tomorrowland at Disneyland, and that is just the start of the story. Live from the Space Stage: A Halyx Story is a feature documentary on one of the most bizarre and obscure bands ever to perform, and the fascinating story of the people making it happen behind the scenes. The majority of production on the film has been completed, and we are seeking funds to finish production and pay for post.

The Film
Live from the Space Stage: A Halyx Story is a documentary about one of Disney’s most fascinating and ridiculous ideas. A rock and roll band full of Star Wars lookalike characters that played underneath Space Mountain at Disneyland for one summer. Through one on one interviews with the band and those working behind the scenes, audiences will learn who this band was and why we have never heard of them until now. Experience the rise and fall of HALYX, complete with never-before-seen photos, concept art, audio, and video recordings.

The Team
A portion of proceeds from the campaign will go to pay the many talented individuals working on the film. These people include:

Directed by: Matthew Serrano

Director of Photography: Katie Ann O’Keefe

Additional Filming: David Geller

G&E/BTS: Ries Chirrick

Assistant Producer: Richard Kroening

Composers: Jordan Ezquerro & Ryan Fogal

Additional Equipment supplied by Randy Van Dyke

Transcriptions: Steven LeBoeuf

Produced by: Kevin Perjurer

Release
We are currently hoping the film will be completed by December of this year. We are planning to upload the product to the Defunctland YouTube Channel, but we are also considering a festival run. We will continue to update everyone on the release of the film.

Kevin I know I said this on your community post but I'm saying it again. You and Your team should take these uploads categorize them between whether it's Disney, Cedar Point, Or Muppets and put them on blu ray and sell them. After I watched your video on the old boys club at disney animation I took a cab where doesn't matter and I told the guy You have to check this guy out on youtube. the amount of time effort and most importantly care he and his team put in to their videos is astounding. it really should be available for sale commercially.

Please do Deja Vu from SFOG and others. It was my favorite ride ever even though I got stuck on it twice I probably rode it 30 or 40 times. It was literally stuck or closed every time you looked at it you were lucky to ride it

Hey Kevin, take a GD breath Dude. How is it you’re this many years into hosting your own channel yet you still suck so badly at narrating these videos? You are amazing at pulling together old footage and writing a script but for the love of god could you find someone else to read that script?

This looks interesting. A Star Wars-inspired band? And Disney owns the rights?
If this documentary becomes popular, could we see a Star Wars story based around Halyx?

First the Jim Hension miniseries and now this. Dude, you're taking this Youtube thing a little too far.

I'm just kidding. It's a freaking awesome project to hear about and considering your history of damn good quality, I've no doubt it'll be good. Congrats, you'll be the first to actually get a crowdfunding donation from me….next week, when my paycheck comes in.

You should do a vid on wannado city , it was a indoor theme park in sawgrass mills Florida. It was a place where kids roleplay jobs and offered really interesting features like a actual mini fires truck where you take down fake fire with real hoses

I love how even being a hardcore, life-long Disney fan you keep bringing these new things to my attention. Never heard of Halyx before, but this project sounds awesome. Already donated toward the cause, and I know it will be worth it. Keep up the amazing work!

Everyone, listen up! I can't donate because I don't think my mom will be able to donate & we all gotta listen to our moms & plus because I'm having surgery in September. I have an alternative though. I'm asking every channel I can think about but I'll need some help. 1: you guys can go tell ur friends, family, or YouTubers you know & 2: if u have any recommendations for a channel I should inform, plz tell because I am heck bent on making sure this gets the 90 minute treatment & I'd donate but I don't think my mom would let me. Any channel suggestions?
