I question thw accuser of Platner bc she never told a friend.
She didn’t throw him out. She didn’t call anyone.
She could have taken the keys.
A random guy she dated said she told him?? But no friends?
As a former social worker I do not believe all women.
I have seen too much. Go to family court.
I do understand why he resigned and is a shame that he is held to standard when we have the biggest woman and child abuser we know of as president.
That doesn’t excuse Platner but is sucks,
I believe in growing and change.
Hopefully they will choose a woman with the same progressive agenda.

The important question is why are (any race) Evangelicals so mad. Evangelicals are mad because government (secular) laws stop them from abusing women and children. The Bible actually orders and condones these awful acts, but secular law stops them. If you think this is an exaggeration, just put evangelicals in charge and watch what they do.
Guess what? That test already happened. When evangelicals got power, they proved these warnings 100% true. Not one so-called Jesus things done, but managed to all the hateful abusive things including of children.. all.

All of the lopsided politics need division to thrive. FOX built their brand on fear & othering – if there’s not an eminent threat weaponized to keep folks divided, folks might come together & see how intentional all of this is. The ‘red’ states- these maga strongholds have the worst poverty, health, education, on and on- the people they elect aren’t for them- & they don’t know –

I am Canadian and studied social anthology and highly recommend you read Ain't No Makin' It, which I believe is very relevant for the USA today, even though it was first published in 1987.
Ain't No Makin' It is a classic sociological study by Jay MacLeod that critiques the American Dream through an intensive ethnographic study of two distinct groups– the predominantly white Hallway Hangers and the mostly Black Brother– in the Clarendon Height public housing projects in an unnamed city in the USA. The book examines themes such as the limitations of social class, the role of race and ethnicity in shaping opportunities.
The white boys, called the Hallway Hangers, did not agree with ideology and believed they were being cheated out of what was rightfully theirs by minority students. They put no effort into their schooling and were highly involved in criminal life. Meanwhile, the Brothers, were black males who strongly believed in the Achievement theory. They worked hard not only with school but in other things as well and believed they would soon be rewarded for their efforts.
What I found incredibly interesting was how the white boy saw no path forward, as they saw their father's doing worse than their grandfather's, and their grandfather's doing worse than their great grandfathers while the black boys could see a path forward, as they saw their father's doing better than their grandfathers, and grandfather's doing better than great grandfathers. The white boys were angry at the world and most ended up dead or in jail in their teens or adult life, while many of the black boys went on to be successful. I feel this book explains a lot about why poor white men and boys are the way they are today in the USA.
