"Is alcohol going to start to get outdated?"
This is fascinating from 6 years ago because it absolutely HAS become more and more outdated, the use of it has fallen off a cliff over recent years.

"that's why you can drive around drunk at high speed in a car which is a really stupid thing to do we used to do that in the back roads of northern Alberta it's fun you know but people died all the time doing it" @JordanBPeterson your honesty and relatability are two of the main reasons I appreciate you so much. Thank you for your content sir. @TheoVon You as well sir, as well as your unbelievably unfiltered honesty. Thank you so much.

. . . . Here is the thing and why most fail. The problem is our premise of addiction. This is what I say to my own people on my channel. They say you are never cured from alcoholism in AA. That you are always an addict. Absolute rubbish. Now understand, if you were addicted once to alcohol you will be addicted most likely again if you pick up that bottle. The non negotiable contract you make day one is you never pick up that bottle again. No matter what. Then you go through the phases of recovery to cure. Detox is the first five days, phase one. Phase II is to approximately 30-45 days where you will be in a battle for you life against the cravings and mental turmoil. The next phase is where the cravings start to die down and you begin the reinvention of self via fitness, meditation, clean diet and career advancement. You carry through to six months. The last phase is doing the same to the two year mark, where the neurochemistry will be balanced by then. At two years you claim cure. I did and that claim was 15 years ago for me now 17 years sober. Then you just keep your contract of never touching it again. You carry on with continued advancement in your life. I used to be an addict. I am not any longer. I am cured from alcoholism.

Almost 17 years here sober. The problem is that celebrities are also propagating the 12 steps. I tell my own subs on my channel to disregard the 12 steps if you want to stay sober. What really irks me more than anything with the cult of AA is that they have this condescending authorative know it all philosophy that FAILS the vast majority who try the twelve steps in the rooms. They say they aren't religious based but look at almost have of their steps-they are religious based. The way to recover isn't to sit in the rooms the rest of your life-as AA repeatedly proves. It is to reinvent yourself. I want every AA advocate to try a test run of what I'm saying. For one week exercise five nights–even if it is just a speed walk. Keep a clean diet low on sugar and caffeine and no smoking if you can. Practice meditation every night for 15 minutes. Find an advancement hobby in your off time. Go out into nature. Then see how you felt vs going to AA the previous week. I don't have to prove my point-if you try this you will prove it to yourself. AA is destructive and the above advice is holisticly healthy.

5.5 yrs free, this clip was big for me. I just referred it to an another loved one for the 3rd time since getting free of alcohol. It’s so worth it. Focus on what you gain, not the perception of what you might lose/lack/miss out on.

This is the real truth. The fact is as I tell my own subs on my channel is the twelve steps and AA fail most people. Period. They fail. They have a dismal success rate. NO ONE should be ten years sober and still going to "the rooms" most nights of the week. You cure yourself of the addiction. Yes, I said cure. You COULD become an addict again if you pick up the bottle again. But you don't. You pronounce cure at the two year mark of sobriety when the neuro chemistry is now balanced and you go on with your life. My methods are a step by step staging process toward that cure. AA keeps you in the past with a track record that keeps most active addicts.
