This interview will live in my mind rent free. I put this on by sheer coincidence wanting to listen to something while I clean and ended up in such a trance and deep thought! It’s so refreshing to hear such incredible women talk about their insecurities, it’s reassuring.

Viola always gives the most honest, real, informative, encouraging advice about acting, craft, business, life, motherhood, being a person. Jennifer also is honest and real and both just give heartfelt performances and this conversation was beautiful to watch.

When around minute 24:33 a quick questions popped up in my mind: How do actresses/actors avoid being “milked” against their own will and power of production juices harvested/unharvested from directors/producers/agencies versus their past works of art?

Mrs. Lawrence, before I forget to remember what and how to provide to you a comment in which comes off as a compliment the most; the ground and sand you broke in cinema/film/licensed-productions when it comes to “R” ratings for your blink of an eye, plus, ballsy ninja moves has me wearing hard hats on off hours. 👷🏻‍♂️For readers out there unbeknownst of Jennifer’s amazing work, perhaps online with a bit of search you may find where to watch (2023) No Hard Feelings.

😊I enjoyed that blink of an eye moment where you reminded me of Oprah through your words and person, Viola. VARIETY, Actors on Actors, has me guessing what the topics of conversations are every single time. If there is a motive, plot, storyline about speaking between actors or having a conversation between actors, or actors dominating and showing true colors; if it is a domination “game.” Not that this is the case, when it is not.

Musinex makes a product called mini melts That is like a little pixie stick. That is so great when you have a kid that hates the taste. She mentions how terrible it tastes in here. Thought I would leave that tip for anyone that has had that experience. 😊

This was such a touching and vulnerable conversation. Ms. Viola is what we should all aspire to be: a wise elder in the making. The way she showed up so fiercely for Jennifer and reassured her with so much compassion. And the way Jennifer showed up so vulnerably, taking it all in and adding her own voice.
    Beautiful human beings!

"The Woman King" was a total aberration of REAL events in history. The writers/actors twisted the truth into something that was in many ways the OPPOSITE of reality.
If they had wanted to make this movie and just acknowledged that it's FICTION, then it still would have been only a "decent" movie. To allow it to be thought of as "based on true events" is completely dishonest.
And Jennifer Lawrence claiming that "Hunger Games" was the "…first action movie with a female lead" is nearly as big a laughable joke as "The Woman King".
It's good that Lawrence has already apologized for making this "blunder"; I doubt that Davis or anyone associated with "The Woman King" will do the same.

I’ve never seen two actors I wanted to meet more. I want to make them dinner and sit with them and just take about life and children and … how amazingly courageously honest they are. Thank god they’re human!

Jeez viola davis is such a self serious knob. And no I’m not saying it cuz I “hate to see black women succeed and be proud of their work” as she would probably interpret any criticism… She just always appears this way

I am so grateful for Viola. Us biracial kids are so often sexualized, nobody tries to understand us. Thank you Viola for helping us feel and be seen. It’s tough out here. You’re always the “house nigga” to black people and the hot commodity to white people. You have helped me love and appreciate myself. You are a QUEEN among kings. I love you. That is all❤

Firstly, just wow! Viola is truly one of the most insightful and articulated human beings, the way she presented her ideas and talked about the fight and constant doubt bring me so much tears. Jennifer on the other hand, though she is also a kind actor, I feel like she often times in this interview, wasn’t on the same page with Viola, sometimes Viola wants to talk about things on a deeper level, such as the trade off of realness and business profits, Jen only touched the topic on the surface level, which I was a little disappointed because I expect so much more from her. But overall, this is definitely the best and my favorite of all series.

4:19 i would have felt the same way. Or somewhere between this overwhelming humility & gratitude that Jennifer is expressing and what you see with wayne and garth when they meet aerosmith or alice Cooper 😭😆

These two absolutely beautiful women are incredible, totally admiration worthy. I'd die if I'd ever were in the same space with them. I can't this was amazing. It's incredible

I think that our resilience decreases as we age and go through hardships. Our hearts get broken and bad things happen to us, despite our best efforts.

Im curious how actressess like Jen feels to know that an actress of the calibre of Viola will never get paid like them.Is there any guilt in there or do they just turn a blind eye to stay in the safe zone.Reminds me of a Chris Rock quote"a black man has to fly to get to a place a white man can just step to".I am not hating on Jen tho.Its the world thats messed up.Although on the other hand, staying quiet ,makes you part of the problem…doesnt it?
