I'm a Brit, and I have trouble understanding your comments about black people being given speaking parts in TV shows as if that's something unusual. This is common in the US??
I don't think there's any "quota" about which ethnic groups get what parts in mainstream tv; just actors of all genders and all skin colours getting the role because they're the best available.
Of course, if a programme is specifically about this or that ethnic group, then that would naturally skew the selection process.

I'm from the UK, and can't quite get my head around your comment about black people not being given speaking parts in US TV. I can't even imagine how that would work..

Doctor Who is definitely worth watching! Also, those "different versions of the Doctor" are his incarnations. If the Doctor (or any of his fellow species, the Time Lords) is about to die, he can simply regenerate into a completely new man with the same memories and knowledge, but different looks and personality. The Doctor in this is the Ninth Doctor, and one of the most underrated. I honestly suggest you start watching it, as it explains most of his lore throughout season one and gives you more facts on his species and background story as the story progresses. Also, every episode is a new adventure (unless it's a two/three parter) so you don't get bored very easily. If you're into sci-fi and shit, you'll love this TV show as much as I do.

Late to the party but, you totally should react to: Girl in the Fireplace, 42, Vincent and the Doctor, Heaven Sent, The Pandorica, A Christmas Carol, Silence in the Library PT I and II The Doctor's Wife and the Husband's of River Song. Further enticement: The Doctor's Wife was written by Neil Gaiman and Heaven Sent gives me Myst the game fash backs

And oh gosh how could I forget Waters of Mars, terrifying and the Doctor realizes he can go to far. Love it. Also, as an American, it's so refreshing to see so many LGBT and people of colors represented on the show. I bet you didn't even notice that the woman the midnight monster possessed casually dropped that she just divorced from her wife. I adore it

If you're going to start watching Doctor Who properly PLEASE start from the beginning, if you carry on watching 'the greats' then you'll be missing out on some hidden gems of episodes, I'm not saying to start from the Classic Series because I understand that isn't everybody's cup of tea but start from the revival series, seen as that's where most start, Series 1. Also you've missed out on so many references in this episode, which is understandable cos you haven't seen the episodes they're referencing but you'd love them like the fandom did during those bits

Honestly, there is no episode that EVERYONE is gonna agree on. 'Blink' is probably the one agreed on the most, though. Personally, I think if you're gonna hop around to different Doctors, 'Listen' with Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth Doctor is a great one. The last 5 minutes kinda require you to know a bit of lore, but up until then it's really well made.

Midnight I think is more terrible for people who have watched the series. It is heartbreaking to see the doctor that way . one episode where I wanted everyone the doctor was trying to save to die

You really should watch the episode "Dalek"….. firstly because the Daleks are the Doctor's most recurring and relentless enemy, dating back to the original episodes in 1963… and the Doctor in this one is Christopher Eccleston (the one before David Tennant)… who is a very different and underrated Doctor. Please…..? You won't regret it!

You might like the new season. Peter Capaldi is excellent as the Doctor, and I believe this is his last season, so it should be awesome. Doctor Who is by far my favorite show, followed by the Walking Dead. They both have great stories and strong characters. It can be hard to follow all the timey-whimey bits, but I love it.

I don't really know if this is the best order for a newcomer, but you're watching great episodes at least. Now you just need to watch The Water of Mars and you did my top 3 favourites.
(And DW episodes are not all creepy btw, there are silly, funny and cute ones too. Lots of them.)

I am definitely a Whovian. I got into this show 2 years ago because I'm a fan of Sherlock(which you should definitely watch.) I started watching season 8, then I went back and started at season 2 because everyone said David Tennant was the best. I watched seasons 2-7 and then went to season 1. This has become my favorite tv show(surpassing Supernatural slightly) I hope you're still watching this. I've just subscribed to your channel because I wanna hear your opinion on the Harry Potter book series.
